Gaza militants say fired chemical-tipped warhead

GAZA, June 29 (Reuters) - A spokesman for gunmen in the Gaza Strip said they had fired a rocket tipped with a chemical warhead at Israel early on Thursday.

The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the claim by the spokesman from the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.

Their Qassam rockets can't carry much of a payload so even if they used "chemical warheads" they might have no effect unless it was into a very crowded area.

Notice that the Reuters article first stated chemical weapons and then stated biological weapons? I don't think they know what they are talking about.

What happened to the Al-Qeada terrorists put on trial one year ago after they were caught entering Jordan from Syria with 20 tons of Saddam's chemical weapons, including VX nerve gas? I cannot find anything on the outcome of the trial!

On Wednesday morning, a PRC spokesman, displaying Asheri's identification card, told Al-Jazeera satellite TV that the settler would be "butchered in front of TV cameras" if doesn't stop its raid on the Gaza Strip, which began in the early hours of Wednesday morning. However, security officials are almost certain Asheri was not alive at the time.

Unfortunately, I suspect we'll find out the same is true for the soldier.

I am praying for all of the families -- it's horrible, but I'm grateful this young man did not suffer.
