The New York Times wants closed. The San Jose Mercury News claims that Gitmo nurtures a culture of death. The Cleveland Plain Dealer wants Gitmo closed. Journalists and editorial staffs are up in arms that there might possibly be some kind of torture occurring.
So what do they say when torture OBVIOUSLY occurs? How do they react when two U.S. servicemen — in -approved uniforms — have their hearts cut out, their testicles cut off, their penises cut off and stuffed in their mouths, arms contorted and eyes gouged? THIS is torture.

When the rules set forth in a group's governing document call for killing, enslaving Jews and Christians then it is a good bet that it is time to call these bastards what they are and stop protecting them with the 1st Amendment.

I'd be very very surprised if our wonderful soldiers were even alive when they were mutilated. Many think they were gravely wounded upon kidnapping if not already dead.

It serves their purpose, at least the ones in power. Their sheeple are so blinded and brainwashed. They are truly pathetic. The power brokers will stop at nothing, regardless of cost, to regain the reins. So what if a few soldiers die horrible, gruesome deaths, or if a few Iraqis are slaughtered in the crossfire?

I don't disagree. As I said, religions can be evil. Religions have called for human sacrifice and extermination of other religions throughout history. Freedom of religion does not require us to accept any actions their religion calls for. Freedom of religion does not protect criminal conspiracies. Just because Islam is a religion, does not mean it is not also a hostile political ideolgy and a gigantic criminal conspiracy. The first ammendment does not require us to tolerate that in our midst.
That's the same agressive, wise leadership that is forcing the troops to fight a defensive war instead of an offensive one because of the rules of engagement we are forced to abide by.
It's a good thing I left Iraq when I did, another couple of months and I would have been one of these troops being put on trial. I had already pushed the limits too many times beyond just raising eyebrows.
