A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Welcome to TGIF at the Finest! We hope you've been having as much fun as we have with our essays and/or spotlight on various FReepers. From the beginning, we've been kicking back on Saturdays and Sundays and simply reviewing the features of the week; our weekend threads now start on Friday and continue through Sunday. If you missed seeing any of this week's threads and want to say hello there now, just click on the link for that particular day. If you'd like to drop in and out of this thread today through Sunday, please feel free to do that also. One of us will try to be around to see the welcome mat is still out, put the coffee pot on, and maybe even bring fresh flowers for the table. : )

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.
Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.
received this in my email June 10th, the author is unknown. I am wearing red today and every Friday ~ Billie

Ack! I hate it when my e-mails get out of control! Which they are now.
Don't work too hard. Take some time to just be lazy. You deserve it.
Talked to your wifey a bit last night. It's been a while since she's been on anywhere. (((hugs)))...to you both.

Why Hes So Special
READ: John 1:1-14
I and My Father are one. John 10:30
Some pretty good people have founded religions over the centuries. One religious leader spent a good portion of his life trying to find truthan admirable quest.
Another religious leader was a teacher and a civil servant who drew up an honor code for his peoplea respectable venture.
No matter how good any originators of world religions may have been, they cannot in any way compare with the founder of Christianity. The major reason is simply this: They are all in the category of good men, while Jesus is in a category by Himselfthe God-man.
Jesus alone is Immanuel (God with us; Matthew 1:23), the Living Word (John 1:14), the Savior (Luke 2:11), and the Messiah (John 1:41). Only Jesus could truthfully assert His equality with His heavenly Father. I and my Father are one, He said (John 10:30). Only Jesus words are divine. His life was the only perfect one. Only Jesus death and resurrection provide life everlasting.
Jesus is unique in all the world. He alone is worthy of our worship, adoration, and awe. He alone is the perfect Man. The divine One. The provider of salvation. Dont settle for anythingor anyoneless.

As many people claim;
Theres only one true way

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19. A
basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
A baseball in my hands is worth about $6. A
baseball in Mark McGuire's hands is worth $19 million.
A tennis racket is useless in my hands. A
tennis racket in Venus Williams' hands is a championship winning device.
A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal. A rod in Moses'
hands will part the mighty sea.
A sling shot in my hands is a kid's toy
A sling shot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish
sandwiches. Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in God's hands will feed
thousands.
Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse. Nails in Jesus
Christ's hands will produce salvation for the entire world. It depends
whose hands it's in.
As you see now it depends whose hands it's in. So put your
concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your
families and your relationships in God's hands because... It depends
whose hands it's in.
This message is now in your hands.
What will YOU do with it?
It Depends on Whose hand it's in !
America!
God shed your grace on thee
