Some Democrats, breaking ranks from their leadership, today said the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab Zarqawi in Iraq was a stunt to divert attention from an unpopular and hopeless war.
"This is just to cover Bush's [rear] so he doesn't have to answer" for Iraqi civilians being killed by the U.S. military and his own sagging poll numbers, said Rep. Pete Stark, California Democrat. "Iraq is still a mess -- get out."

He is NOT on America's side in this war, or any other.

Only democrats use the term "hopeless" in regard to Iraq...let's continue to marginalize this lot of factless cowards.

Since I already had no respect for that little shi* Fortney Stark, his comment doesn't change my opinion of him.

The DNC was really hoping the war on terror wouldn't be on the agenda this November.

The Democrats want Bush to fail in Iraq, so they are naturally disappointed that their allies, the terrorists, are being killed.

Unfreaking real. I always thought Democrats were lower than the debris on Hell's basement floor, but I'd never thought they'd do this.
To: seamus
The more that America really sees what is in the heart of Democrats, the more they will continue to turn away from the democratic party. Honorable Democrats like, Truman, Humphrey. Lieberman to name three have got to be sickened by traitorous people like Fortney Stark.

I'm kinda surprised the Bush administration hasn't been keeping this dude in hiding only to be brought out right before the November elections. The fact that they killed him is bad politics, isn't it? These Rats cease to amaze me. Be happy once in awhile. Your sour mood is bringing down the whole country.
To: Dog
The question is, where does the kook wing begin and where does it end?

Stark - "Irag is still a mess - get out!"
Remember that prof who recently wrote an article claiming that Bush - in saying that "some people" want immediate withdrawal from Iraq - was setting up non-existent "straw men" to contrast to his "realistic" position? That prof claimed that no one in the political mainstream was demanding an immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Well, Stark shows the prof is wrong, and Stark isn't the only example.
