Well my good friends George and Laura have yet to see the movie United 93. To see it they have invited 2 people from each of the families of those that died on 9/11 aboard Flight 93. After a late lunch/early dinner with the President and First Lady but only one of us will be able to view the movie w/ them.
Since my mother has not seen it yet - but is ready to now - she will go in with them to view it...and I will get an up close and personal tour of the White House.
This, on the heels of Memorial Day, should be amazing. It's going to be heavy-duty on my mother but I think she'll handle it well....fingers crossed.
For anyone who has not seen it please do - it is amazing. You'll walk out having gone through every emotion possible in about 90 minutes...and you'll leave knowing full well why we are fighting.
Hope everyone had a safe and great weekend!
God Bless America,
Chris Proud son of Patrick 'Joe' Driscoll Flight 93
Never Forget Never Forgive
Cool!
Give your Mom a hug from all of us.
"The Era of Osama lasted about an hour, from the time the first plane hit the tower to the moment the General Militia of Flight 93 reported for duty."
Bless you Chris and your Mother and most of all your Father.
I'll second that!
YOU going to the White House when? It sure is breaking news. The news just broke here FIRST.
I am so happy for you and your Mother! I know you will post a thread and give us a full report after! God bless you, and have a wonderful time.
God bless you and your family. Your dad will be with you when you meet President Bush, I have no doubt of it.
Is there an update??
God bless you, Chris. God bless your dear mother. And I am sure He is smiling upon your heroic father.
My husband and I plan to see the film tomorrow evening.

Your wish is my commnand.
'The MANSIONS of the Lord' stirring hymn from "WE WERE SOLDIERS" is now being sung at funeral services for our blessed killed in action returning fron Iraq & Afghanistan.
Despict CBS Television Network's editing it out of its "WE WERE SOLDIERS" airing last Sunday night.
NEVER FORGET
.
so sorry for your loss,...our loss on 911
How did it all go?
See if you can get GW's FR handle.

Very disheartening, but not surprising, to read that. I taped the airing, while I watched the Memorial Day Concert in DC on another channel, delighted that CBS was showing it, but my old VCR did not cooperate and the tape got ruined.

I will never forget, and there are more Americans of our age who will never forget, than who still think fighting to save Vietnam was wrong. Unfortunately, many of those who are in media jobs are in the latter group. We are invisible to them, but we vote. And when they (the media) are surprised by the results, they "feel" that we cheated, because they believe we are not really a large number. I believe that we are a solid majority in America.
Oh Chris,
I am terribly sorry for the loss of your loved one. He is our hero. Enjoy your visit with the President and First Lady. Give your mother a hug for me. God bless you, friend.
Fill us in when you get a chance....
