Rush is coming through for us big time on this issue. He's had W's back so many times in the past I was afraid he'd be wishy-washy on this issue. But he's been anything but. I really think that knowing Rush will be supporting the House approach every day has stiffened the spines of the House conservatives.

Assuming the House keeps holding firm, I'd like to see Rush spend a lot of time highlighting the close House races this fall and encouraging his listeners not only to vote, but to volunteer, make their friends and family vote, etc.

I just noticed this statement- Rush says "some Republicans in the White House" are "trying to destroy conservatism"- here's the quote.

" I think what's happening here, in addition to all that I've said, is that moderate Republicans are trying to destroy conservatives and conservatism. By moderate Republicans, let me give you some names: John McCain, Arlen Specter. We'd have to throw Senator Lindsey Graham in there now, and some of the Republicans in the administration, some of the Republicans in the White House."

- end quote -

Pretty strong stuff.

I like what I'm hearing out of him. I think he's tried to be rather reserved in going after Bush directly, and I don't blame him for it.

He sure is laying it out there though. He's not mincing his words much.

What they did was vote in favor of changing our society so as to massively empower the federal government. The federal government will have far more control over wages than before. Entitlement programs are going to have to expand in order to accommodate all these new arrivals and their children. Taxes are going to have to go up in order to pay for all this.

More succinctly: They voted in favor of Socialism.

We need to stop feeding the beast and take control of the purse strings before it is too late.

Thank you, Rush. You hang in there even in the face of Tony Snow's comments from yesterday.

Tony is a conservative, but he is misled on this subject.

Tony, thank you for showing us where you truly stand.

Rush, thank you (and Sean Hannity) for protecting our countries.

Any Senator that read and understood this bill, and still voted for it, is a traitor to this country. Plain and simple.

Any Senator that voted for this bill without reading and understanding it, is negligent to the point of treason.

As much as I want republicans to remain in power, I cannot aid and abet treason. I will NOT vote for any Senator who falls into either of the two categories above.

That Shanklin parody, "Be Our Guest", that Rush has been playing really cracks me up. I'm going to have to get that CD.

A long read but worth every second. Rush nails it...perfectly.
This is war, folks.

(Many thanks for the post.)

I have a threory...the Senate is trying to help the political party of Generalissimo Fox in the July elections...this bill will make Fox and his party look good. A compromise will not be forthcoming until after July's elections are over and counted, when the House version will pass, or nothing will. That is me trying to make a silk purse form a sow's ear.

Now that this is pretty much a done deal, how does annexation look now? At least we could have gotten some natural resources in the deal.

There's a basic issue of fairness and justice here, when illegal immigrants get privileges unavailable to citizens, while citizens get to pay the taxes.

If Bush and Karl Rove can't see this and make use of it, they are either totally corrupted by business donors who want cheap, illegal labor, or they are political dunces.

A few years ago I made the point on another forum that it was begining to dawn on the Democrats that they have aborted their base and they are going to have to rely increasingly on the dead, felons, and illegal aliens for their votes. Someone responded that I had written a very powerful post. Man, even I didn't realize it until I read Rush's piece. God save this great nation, because the Rinos won't.

Nightmarishly there they stand, in the Senate, grinning. Those death heads, grinning, laughing at the nation they are deliberately destroying. Laughing at a great people being doomed to poverty, violence and loss of rights. Grinning, spitting on the graves of the our vets, their sacrifices, and still, the death heads grin, laugh, and spit some more.

I have listened to the sound-bite a number of times. Fantastic stuff!

However, Rush doesn't go far enough in this. He always used to say.... if you want to know the truth, follow the money. I say dig a little deeper......

OK..... Here's my take on what this whole "illegal immigration" debate is about and why the government seems to be turning a deaf ear to the people's voices on the matter.

The people see things straight - ENFORCE THE LAW. PERIOD. Stop allowing social programs to be misused. Stop shoving bilingual nonsense down our throats. Bottom line - come here legally and assimilate.

However, the Senators don't seem to get that message. Why? Simple - A different Agenda that our opinions don't fit into.

Well, here it is - my take on why this is so out of control.....

I honestly believe that there is a force out there that is pushing for the dissolution of our borders (both north and south) in order to form an American Union (similar to EU). We have NAFTA & CAFTA already. The economy (business & manufacturing secotor) has withstood the first step of the dissolution. The next step is the labor. Following that is monetary (you notice how colorful our dollar bills are getting, lately?) unity. The final nail in the coffin will be some sort of new Constitution which is "current and updated" to fit the needs of our newly formed continental union. That way, the "American Union" can compete with the Eurpoean Union "equally", according to theories.

All this is is pure marxist theory of governmental regulation (thereby control) of business in order to harness and distribute the wealth equally in our hemisphere. The larger the economy, the more wealth to redistribute.

Of course, it's a long way off until that part of things happens..... but doesn't anyone else see the signs?

Look who's behind the movements for Amnesty - communist and marxist groups. And they're up to the same tricks with the same old "blah, blah, blah... racists....xenophobe...imperialist... blah, blah, blah.....". That's all I need to know.

There is something going on. I don't know what the outcome will be but it won't be good for neocons and the Republican majority in the Senate. I hope you all know that the elections are now rigged. We have a choice between Democrats and Republicans and the FEC only lets those two parties participate in presidential debates. Once we all realize that the whole system is rigged for incumbents (CFR for pete's sake) the sooner we can take back the gov't.

My greatest fear is that it is so rigged that there is no taking it back. Only what Jefferson said: the tree of liberty...,

I think Rush is superb and I listen to him whenever I have the opportunity. BUT, GW is missing one huge opportunity and that is to find a spot in his cabinet for CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER, possibly the most astute mind in the Western Hemisphere. It might be a bigger job to talk CK into it than finding a spot for him; I'm pretty sure he makes big bucks with his current positions.

If you aren't familiar with him, read him at Townhall.com or listen to him on Fox News and note that everyone else shuts up when CK begins to talk.

It has come to my attention that ALL members of the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE will participate in the conference on the immigation bill..

Our battle is not with the Senators who voted on the "Senate Version" on the bill....the two bill are "oceans" apart.. with the house version being a MUCH BETTER BILL !! our battle is with the Senators who will go to conference with house.. which I just found out will be ALL MEMBERS of the Judiciary Committee and then some additional Senators yet to be named by Reid and Frist !!!...

WE NEED TO LET THESE FOLKS KNOW that we SUPPORT THE HOUSE VERSION !! NOT THE SENATE VERSION !!! now get er done !!

---> for now we can focus our efforts on the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE MEMEBERS !!!

Arlen Specter Orrin G. Hatch Patrick J. Leahy Charles E. Grassley Edward M. Kennedy Jon Kyl Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Mike DeWine Hrbert Kohl Jeff Sessions Dianne Feinstein Lindsey Graham Russell D. Feingold John Cornyn Charles E. Schumer Sam Brownback Richard J. Durbin Tom Coburn

I have written an OPEN LETTER to the conferees and I encouge EVERYONE who cares about this to do the same.... feel free to copy/edit/distribute my letter..

Rush is right, it is all about expansion of the social welfare state. Things like borders get in the way. This is globalism, and it is about the NWO.
