Convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui says he lied on the witness stand about being involved in the plot and wants to withdraw his guilty plea because he now believes he can get a fair trial.
In a motion filed Friday but released today, Moussaoui said he testified March 27 he was supposed to hijack a fifth plane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House "even though I knew that was a complete fabrication."

Who?
enough money already spent on this POS
Does anyone think he'll get a "fair" trial?
Unless "Bubba" is a guard, Zak is unlikely to meet him, he's doing life in solitary.
LOL, that was my first reaction. I had to call my husband at work to let him know that it didn't even take a week before this guy realized that "super-max" isn't Gitmo. So much for, "America, you lose". What a putz.
Why pull the NYPD back about 20 blocks? I'm sure they'd like in on the action.
are you crazy? Have you seen the pics of cells from this prison? Just damn! I could not take a day in that cell. clean and nice as it is! He will NEVER GET OUT!
I love it. I hope he sits there for decades! Rotting from the inside out. everyday having to beg to be let out to breath just a little fresh air. Astronauts on their way to Mars will have more room to move around than he does.
This will be no life of leisure and I am glad.
And he's only, like, 35 or 36 isn't he? You pretty much know he'll have a balanced diet and the best of health care, so we should be able to keep him alive for another 50 or 60 years. That's a lot of educational TV that he's not going to be able to talk to anyone about or use in any productive way.
Just wait a little while, until after the media has spent countless broadcast hours and column-inches of print weeping over this guy and sharing the details of life in a Supermax facility and proclaiming it as "torture."
My understanding is that he gets no visitors except his lawyer. My husband's question today, when he heard about his reversal was, so how come we've heard about this, I didn't think anyone got to see him? I can only think that a lawyer got this out, or perhaps one of the guards who, like us, find an amusing aspect to this.
I believe his meals come through a slot in the door. He never gets to interact with any of the other prisoners, so no reliving the good times with the other jihadists at this place; and, he gets a shower once a week.
Well I hope this is the case. Perhaps I should have questioned Oceanview as where he got the idea this goon would have a 8" boog tube in the cell.
As far a Moussy's "appeal" efforts...it ain't gonna happen. Here's a quote from the judge:
At sentencing, she told Moussaoui: "You do not have a right to appeal your convictions, as was explained to you when you plead guilty" in April 2005. "You waived that right."
I suppose he doesn't think his "win" was a "win" after all, eh?
There's nothing to stop Moussaoui's lawyers from going directly to the media, unless the judge imposes a gag order, which I doubt she could legally do even if she were so inclined. Moussaoui knows this.
He got exactly what he wanted - a chance to spend the next 40 or 50 years exposing our criminal justice system for the joke it is, unless he wears us down with his antics so we just release him first.
That's right, and it's why life in the Florence Supermax is better for Moussouai than the death penalty.
At ADX Florence, the bed, sink, and toilet are made from poured concrete, just like the floors, ceiling, and walls. There's a window that faces the sky, so that prisoners can't get a fix on their location inside the prison. Toilets are designed to prevent deliberate flooding.
No books, no magazines, no roomies. Meals are shoved through a porthole. You can get a plexi-enclosed, 13" B&W TV if you are good in your tomb. Walls and plumbinmg are insulated to prevent covert communication between cells.
You also get one-hour a day for exercise, but it's in another cage inside the building, not outside in the fresh Colorado air.
Basically, Supermax "guests" are lopped-off from human society, just as they should be.
And despite the large number of notorious jihadis at Florence (see post #112), they are each living alone in a state of isolation from the human race, unable to communicate with the world. I would imagine they're not even told in which direction Mecca is located, in order to prevent security breaches.
All excellent ideas. I'd add nonstop pig-squeal recordings in his cell.
