"When the jury took longer than expected to reach a verdict, I really found myself thinking "This POS is not gonna get the death penalty"."

I knew they were taking too long. I bet it was 11 to 1 for death. That is the only way it could have taken so long. If 3 or more jurors had been for life, they would have ended it after a few hours. If two, maybe a couple of days. The only way they could have taken it so long is if there had been one holdout and they thought there was a realistic chance of turning him or her.

We had a case like that in my jurisdiction once. A guy lied about his willingness to give the death penalty and got on a capital jury. The jury was out several days (which is very much an exception around here) because the other 11 jurors could not believe the holdout would not back down. Little did they know he was a plant from the outset. There is no appeal from a jury verdict by the State, so we had to live with it. I would not be a bit surprised if that happened here.

I don't know for sure, but I seem to recall that. Good point. The same ACLU trash that manipulated these 9 simpletons will find a judge to rule that this thug has a right to a file in his cake.

Shutup, Greta. A dumbass jury is a dumbass jury.

Exactly, she'll go on all day praising the jury but as more libs get on juries we're going to see less death sentences, IMO.

Would a Jimmy Carter release him?

You are absolutely right. This genocidal mass murderer will be released in the future as part of some idiotic "peace process" with the poor oppressed Jihadis.

Another prediction: Less 48 hours until the CodePink/Answer types start the "Free Moussaoui!" and "he's a political prisoner!" crap.

"What is with that figure??? A family of 4 could live comfortably with $100K $50K a year! Why does it cost us that much to house inmates? A square cage, a toilet, a cot, and some bland meal shoved under the door 3x a day is all they need. If they want to get fit, do freakin' pushups."

Ya think they'll have to prepare him special meals according to his beliefs?? My guess is that the rump rangers will get a hold of him real soon.

He'll cost MORE money --- the estimate of $100K is in today's worthless money.

David Beamer on Cavuto NOW.

He will receive better care in our prison than he probably ever did in his whole life. Free medical, dental, mental, meals, etc....

If we are not going to fry him, I would rather ship him to some third-world hell-hole.....

It may not happen today, or this month, or this year, but the potential exists. The useful idiots gave the terrorist front a tool.

That potential existed no matter what the verdict. He wasn't going to be put to death today.

If you don't give Moussaoui death, who can you give the death penalty? I wonder how good the government was in selecting a jury.

For those who are too "smart" or too "good" to sit on a jury, these are the kind of verdicts you get when productive, educated people elect to sit out of the process.

Blind sheik's attorney carried terror messages to his followers. She was tried and convicted and still walks free for reasons known only to NYC.

Todd Beamer's father is on Fox News now. He says he respects the system, but he is disappointed with the result.

Can't say I'm upset by this. I think he was lying, to try to get the death penalty, which in his twisted world view, would make him a famous "martyr." His story just didn't add up. Plus, he's obviously a nut case. So, no martyrdom, no virgins - just the rest of his life trying to avoid becoming bubba's girlfriend.

The worst punishment is making someone sit in jail

I do not foten cuss on this board but that comment draws one from me now.

BULLSHIT

With mandated Cable TV, snickers bars, healthcare, televisions, books study time, degrees and such Jail is gravy today and many people like it better on the inside because they have ZERO personal responsibility. This cat is going to be by himself for the most part with a gravy life paid for by you and me. Unreal.

Depends if you believe in Hell.

I do.

And the punishment of being sentenced to hell directly is a fitting punishment for any inhuman demonic inspired act.

I do not retract my remarks.

I do not care who argues in favor of life sentencing.

They can take my agreement with the other poster as they will.
