Just flashed on Fox, jury has a verdict, to be read at 4:30PM EST!
The jurors had an enormous responsibility to us all, and IMO, they failed miserably. Not all of them, but the ones who couldn't get past their hand-wringing and making excuses for his actions.....well, I'm too much of a lady to say what I really think about their spineless cop-out.
life with no possibility of parole..
He can still be pardoned...in return for Al-Qaida not nuking a second city, after they've already nuked one to prove they can. Majorly stupid move by the jury.
***
Also, this life without parole concept is relatively new. How do we know that after 20 or 30 or 40 years of keeping this scum fed, clothed and housed at taxpayer expense, some idiot judge still won't turn him loose on society?
Agreed.
My thoughts, too!
I can't see why life in prison would be punishment enough for this turd. He gets fed, clothed and housed for the rest of his life.
My hope is that some day some bad@ss in prison gives this man exactly what he deserves!
Don't get me wrong, dude deserves to die. I just didn't like the idea of giving him what he wants.
He didn't want death. He said he was counting on Allah to spare his life. Liberal attitudes of the jurors are like blessings from Allah to him.
I agree. Let him slowly fade into obscurity until he's long forgotten.
9 DANGEROUS dumbassses...
That type of reasoning is simply trying to be too smart by half and it is utterly silly -
Putting this guilty as sin SOB in the ground is exactly what should have happened. Full stop, end of discussion. Trying to psychobabble one's self seven ways to Sunday about how not doing this could be "smarter" or an even "worse" punishment.....is nothing but just that...psychobabble.
The notion that we have to constantly worry about how our enemies will take our actions (turning him into a martyr for example) has to stop.
That juror should have to share his cell.. see what he thinks after a couple of months..
What's more, he lives to infect more minds with religious/political hatred.
Whether he instructs other prisoners (who may one day walk the streets) or writes from prison (as Manson and Mumia do today), he lives to continue his hateful rhetoric. Obviously, the jurors slept through his outbursts in court.
He won't need to kill himself. He's too big of a mark to last long in prison.
Remember Jeffrey Dahmer? Killed in prison after just a couple of years because he was an infamous murderer.
Actually- I'm not even thinking about whether or not they made the correct decision. My problem..is the mitigating circumstances the jury clearly favored- because this man had a troubled childhood...his life is spared.
No, who knows who he can recruit in prison. Radical islam is widespread in prison and Moussaui will be treated like a king.
Can the "Free Moussaoui" tee-shirts be far behind?
Good grief, is right.
I have heard quite enough.
Yes, Old Friend...you heard right....sigh!
Same types who just couldn't bring themselves to find the Menendez Brothers quilty because they were orphans.
McVeigh was of European extraction, therefore throw the book at him, but not this person. Doesn't make any sense. My guess is that someone on that jury had an agenda. If being in on a plot to kill 370 people is worth the death penalty, why is the death of almost 4000 people not worth it? Race has to be involved in the verdict, certainly logic was not.
Look at the verdict for the Lodi terror camp trainee. The day after the verdict, one women tries to claim she was bullied into voting guilty. The defense got to her.
