I've never posted a new thread before and was going to put this with Santa Ana but now there are details so I think it needs it's own thread.
Reports for help from all police to respond to Vista, California for unrest related to the immigration protests.
I'd been hearing sirens racing north on 15 for over the last 50 minutes and was trying to find out what was going on, as after hearing and seeing groups of 2-6 patrol cars racing up the freeway sirens wailing every 4-8 minutes made it apparent something was going on.
Wow, after tonight now I know what your evenings must be like with all the things you cover for us from the scanner! Trying to stay updated everywhere! LOL!

Put on your Fedora, look up all of your Mob connections, polish the Crown Victoria, start cooking at 4:00am and spill into the streets for a day of reunions, dancing, wine tasting, and some of the most suptuous dining anywhere on planet Earth; the pungent aroma of garlic and basil will FILL the air. We'll see an animated expression of the proud Italian heritage that helped raise this industrial Nation out of it's agrarian cradle.
You simply DO NOT want to miss National Jewish Immigrant Day -- June 5th. Swing by the synagogue with the whole family; even your forever-kvetching Aunt Maude. Everyone ELSE may as well make this a PTO day, as well, with half of Wall Street shut down, there is NOTHING more economically substantive heppening on THIS day. ATM's will, however, be operating normally and most Chinese restaurants will remain open.
June 12th is National Chinese Immigrant Day! San Francisco will be at a standstill with all streets entering Chinatown blocked off for a gargantuan festival, parades, fireworks -- you haven't ever seen it like THIS before, not even 'Chinese New Year' will rival this. We all know that Chinese indusrty layed the rails that bound the two great oceans together, facilitating the most rapid rise of any Western economy in the history of the World. Today, in any office building in Silicon Valley, you'll as likely hear Chinese spoken as English as that tradition of prowess pushes the limits of semiconductor production technology. You wanna see an economic dent? Try living in an America without any Chinese!
Continuing in the footsteps of industry, June 17th is National German Immigrant Day! Forget waiting for Oktoberfest; break out the bier and lederhosen, this is set to ba a wonderful, food-fraught festival of polkas, beer tasting, and a thousand-and-one kinds of sausage; from the best of the wurst to the, well, worst. All this in celebration of the brilliant contributions of German minds to our glorious American tapestry!
Need I go on? I mean, I think you get the point, but I would be remiss if I left out THE MOST IMPORTANT day of all: National Legal Citizens Day! Yes, that's RIGHT. Our great American heritage celebration culminates on June 24th with National Legal Citizen Day, with every legal citizen taking the entire day off to go out to the parks, to the streets, to march, dance, sing, share great food, and show the entire WORLD what economic POWER is bound up in our LEGAL citizenry. NO ILLEGALS ALLOWED; they have to go to WORK -- if anyone's hiring this day -- or remain home. We WILL be checking for papers, so pack your legal I.D. with you!

VISTA – Law officers from around the county raced into Vista on Monday night to help quell what sheriff's officials called a riot, with crowds throwing rocks and bottles at deputies.
Authorities estimated 800 to 1,200 people swarming the streets after a rally to protest the proposed federal immigration bill had broken up at Wildwood Park on East Vista Way at Escondido Avenue.

Nearly 200 officers poured into town in the hours after Vista deputies radioed for help about 8 p.m.
Officers dressed in riot gear, and with police dogs, were starting to order crowds to disperse about 11 p.m.
Deputies had been monitoring the park rally, then reported that people were throwing bottles at them, sheriff's Capt. Glenn Revell said. He said deputies retreated and were not injured.
Revell said crowds split into three groups, some staying near Wildwood Park, while others congregated along Melrose Drive. Others sat down and blocked the intersection at North Santa Fe Avenue and Bobier Street until officers converged to break up the crowd.
Some 200 people walked up and down Santa Fe Avenue from Bobier Drive to Vista Village Drive. About 10:30 p.m., 40 to 50 police cars lined Santa Fe Avenue. Many officers wore helmets and padding.
“It's not supposed to be a riot, it's supposed to be peaceful,” said Adrian Olivos, 21, of Vista. “I don't know why there is all the commotion.”
“It was spontaneous,” said Christina Colt, 19, of Vista. “People were waving the Mexican and American flags. They all just came together, and out of nowhere cops just started pouring in, and canines.”
Near Wildwood Park, a mob swarmed two television trucks, throwing rocks and trying to overturn them.
“The Sheriff's Department is not placing blame on the demonstrators,” Revell said. “We believe this is a very small group of people who are making this protest for criminal behavior.”
Councilman Frank Lopez said the park rally had been peaceful but loud.
“It was calm, people were enjoying themselves,” Lopez said. He added that later in the evening, he could hear young people racing up and down the streets in trucks, waving flags and yelling.
“I saw a lot of officers go by” soon after that, Lopez said.
Sheriff's officials requested mutual aid from law agencies around the county. Five Carlsbad officers headed to Vista about 8:30 p.m.
About 9 p.m., the California Highway Patrol sent eight officers from its El Cajon-area office. A short time later, 20 San Diego police officers started racing, lights and sirens on, toward Vista. Escondido sent 19 officers and Oceanside sent nine.
They came from as far away as Coronado and La Mesa, which each sent three officers, while El Cajon sent five, National City six and Chula Vista 11.
Many officers came with patrol dogs, forming lines in the street. Some officers reported no scenes of violence as the evening wore on, but that disturbances popped up in different parts of town.
Mayor Morris Vance said the Wildwood Park cultural event featured a lot of music and speakers, but was breaking up in the late afternoon. He knew of no one with permits to march afterward.
