DENVER PROTEST ORGANIZER ADMITS TO FLAG SCAM ON "GUNNY BOB SHOW"
S.E.I.U. Local 105 President Mitch Ackerman Confesses To Propaganda Trick
On 29 April 2006 at approximately 10:10PM, Denver pro-illegal-alien protest organizer Mitch Ackerman, president of the Service Employees International Union Local 105, admitted live on the "Gunny Bob Show" (www.850koa.com) that the handlers he would be providing to the May Day mob in Denver would indeed have large numbers of US flags to hand out to the protestors. The ruse is designed to deceive uninformed, easily manipulated viewers into believing the protestors are patriotic Americans.
Moments later, realizing that he had just blundered by admitting to the scheme, Ackerman attempted to backtrack and claimed his group had not acquired flags to hand out. His tactic failed: the Gunny verbally disemboweled him, much to Ackerman's chagrin.
Is this Rush poll?
Well, there wasn't much nuance to it, I agree!

Well, I guess I've just never been a groupie. I don't think the economy will be greatly disrupted by this, so that second option wasn't open to me. I don't care that 71% think otherwise.
I guess I just don't jump on bandwagons that quickly. Definitely, lots of them should be encouraged to go home. Some of them would make fine Americans, but need to do it the right way. I still think there is a way to achieve the ends of getting lots of them home without being ugly about it. I'm ok with rounding up the ones who are criminals and getting rid of them, permanently by building a great big wall they can't come over. Many should be encouraged to become citizens and if fining them for time they spent here illegally encourages them to seek citizenship legally, that would be fine with me. Many would just go home rather than pay to stay. That's encouraging them to go back. Not being ugly about it.
LOL that's a good job of putting a happy face on being out of step with most of America! :)

Why are you so concerned about being ugly to people who are breaking the law every second they are here?

I would have to ask, I guess, have you never been hungry? Lived on practically nothing? Needed things you had no money for? Had family with needs you couldn't handle? How many Italians came here WOP??? Did we send them back?
The overwhelming numbers of them is a real problem, there is no doubt about that. Build the wall, guard the border, but the Canadian one is also very vulnerable and bad. But I don't think one day without illegals would harm our economy, and I guess I just have something I cannot help....it's in me, and my church wants me to have even more than I currently do....that's compassion.
I will probably never have enough of that to please Christ, but I do have it in spades. One day I'm raging about the immigration situation, and the next my heart is breaking. I wish that it were not so, but it is.
Fortunately, I'm not in a position to have to make the decision. For that I thank God regularly, and ask that he guide and help those who must. It's sort of like the death penalty thing. I'm frankly fortunate I don't have to make the decisions.
People speed everyday, I wouldn't take their license for that. People break other little laws millions of times each day, and I wouldn't imprison them or call them major criminals if it's something minor. Tomorrow I may be raging, but today my heart is breaking. It's called being human.
And, of course, I try to never be ugly to anyone. When we were graded back in elementary Catholic schools on "respect for the rights of others" they weren't talking about others having the respect, they were guiding us to guard our own behavior. No matter what someone else does, I'm still responsible for me, and what I do, how I treat people must not be ugly. It would never matter if 71% or 99% thought being ugly was ok and I should do it..... Their opinions cannot guide my own conscience. I still have to live with me. I'm concerned about every living human being, and I'm concerned about my own behavior. I won't allow someone elses behavior, no matter how vile, take responsibility for me.
Sorry, if this sounds preachy. I don't mean to preach. But, words have meaning. There were no words in either question that I could buy, so I wouldn't vote. And thats not just today, but any day.

Yes, as long as there's no violence it's a peaceful way to show how vital immigrants are to the United States.

No, it's disruptive to the economy, and any illegal immigrants at those events should be rounded up and sent home.

NOTE: I say what they cost our country as compared to what they contribute, it is a no-brainer!

Yes, it did. I get it now. You are just so overly compassionate. No wonder you detest trying to explain yourself. You are compassionate and people like me aren't.

Why does the Mexican government get a pass?
Yes, that was the Rush poll results. Sorry. I should have been clearer on that.

You said it. And, of course, you overreacted. Got nasty. I guess you forgot what this thread was about. You must be very young.
Absolutely. Build a wall. Who is giving them a pass? I don't think it's necessary to violate one's own conscience by being ugly to one's own neighbors who live right next door, or down the block because of the corruption of government, whether here or there. It's divisive. Anyway, that wasn't the issue.
You do alot of assuming about people, and your instincts are pretty bad.
