This should be a list of who is planning to close their business on Monday, May 1 in response of the Great American Boycott. We should compile it and boycott them ourselves if possible!
Remember to go shopping or work overtime on May 1!
Ha, all of our local Hispanic newscasters were on the job, reporting on those who weren't. Ours are so longtime, though, that they probably forgot they are Hispanic.
Oh, except for Minerva, who has always (for like 25 or more years, it seems) said "Mee-nerva" and everyone else has, too. But she can't say "Toyota" either--always says "Tay-ota."
People shouldn't eat Tyson products period. They have been known for many many years to have filthy processing plants. They have or used to have one in Orange county that was notorious for hiring filthy sloppy people with no hygiene and now we know they hire illegals.
I went to do my grocery shopping today to do my part. There were NO mexicans in the market. Granted this is a small town but we have them here. I must say it was so wonderful to walk through a store and everyone spoke ENGLISH.
My ride to work was very smooth today and I got there early. The best part of my day was when I got home....no noisy leaf blowers in my neighborhood all afternoon. I could get use to this!
" Went to Big Lots (a discount store like .99 cent stores) and the black female checker stated "it's easy shopping today isn't it?"
My wife said she had the most pleasant shopping experience today at Wal Mart . There was a very nice vibe, store was crowded with shoppers and aisles not blocked by entire Mexican families , all speaking Spanish and refusing to budge.
And we live in a non border state.
There was a book written a few years ago by a chef and his bottom line was if you knew what goes on in kitchens you'd never eat out again.

Can only see a red x.
Damn I am bummed, Was stopping by my favorite Mexican fast food place (it was at least a once a week thing) and they were closed... This is a 24/7 shop too, when I asked last week if they would be closing the answer I got was NO... I told them I would be back today to show my support! Anyway if in Phoenix, add Frederico's to the list... Damn it, I cant do Taco Bell and have not had good mexican food at any of the other fast food type places. I guess it's take out from the other chains that stayed open today though. At least my other favorite (for non-Fast food) place is open, I know because my son is working today... lol.
Before going to work, my son had just got back from going to have a new exhaust put on his car and that shop was closed "for inventory" according to the sign... Just a coincidence or should I tell him to find another shop? I am thinking the latter.
YES! They did not realize that we would benefit by their absences.
Actually, I think the maypole served as a phallic symbol. :)
Hey, I am back and forth with Marks thread and here.
Local news is showing other Mexican rallies in north county
and lot gathering for the next event.
Indeed. Here is the democratic party strategy.
(1) Rely on conservative voter apathy caused by Bush's encouragement of illegal immigration and Frist's and Lott's general incompetence...
(2) Steal some voters from the republicans by claiming to be tough on businesses that employ illegals...
(3) Take control of the congress...
(4) Give the illegals amnesty and instantly gain 20 million new Democratic voters who will ensure Democratic control of the country for a lifetime
The only thing that the GOP can do to stop this is to do an about face on immigration and actually DO something about it. It is too late now to just talk about it.
Yep I saw it...classic MSM.
"In a city 75% illegal what does that mean for a community?
Interview #1-"We juss com ere an we do all de jobs dat no Merican do, no es criminal, no we es jes workee"
Interview #2-"The city is 80% illegal, it isn't white anymore and that scares me"
Interview #3-"These mexicans are good for my business, boy they sure do buy a lot of stuff"
4 minutes and the talkingpoints are:
1. they're doing jobs Americans won't do.
2. Only racist are against illegals.
3. Illegals are good for the economy
No mention of tax base, crime, economy, housing, schools, collapsing infrastructure, just good workers who are here doing the Jobs Americans won't do........
But you already knew that's what they would say...hehe
If that list is still accurate then George Allen can give up any hopes of every becoming president.
Yes, I know which one you "Mena," lol. OK, I googled and found that it was Don's brother, Randal, who is deceased. They named a sports facility after him in Fayetteville.
Thanks for posting the list - I called mine (Norm Coleman) (R) !!!
I hope you are right. It could work out that nothing happens and after the election the Senate caves and we get a good bill.
A good combination of HB4437 and the Ben Nelson amendment (SA #3267 [to SA #3192]) would please me.
Summary: Replaces the Judiciary Committee bill with an enforcement-only proposal, which, among other things:
(1) provides for the construction of a two-layer reinforced fence along the Southern border stretching from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico and the creation of a 100-yard border zone controlled by DHS;
(2) more enforcement personnel;
(3) greater coordination between DHS and the Defense Department on the use of border surveillance technology;
(4) more facilities to house detained aliens, adding up to at least 10,000 more detention beds;
(5) greater potential involvement of state and local law enforcement agencies in the enforcement of immigration laws and Federal reimbursement to those agencies for their assistance;
(7) mandatory use of an entry-exit data system at all ports of entry;
(8) more stringent penalties for violations of immigration law, including for alien smugglers, identity thieves specifically, those who use false identification to gain immigration benefits or obtain employment and unlawful presence; and
(9) establish a permanent and mandatory employment eligibility mechanism requiring all employers to verify the eligibility of all new hires within two years of the bills enactment and to verify the eligibility of all previously-hired employees within six years of enactment.
Eliminates the Visa Lottery, which allows 50,000 random aliens to enter the United States each year.
Expands the Institutional Removal Program to all states, thus ensuring that more criminal aliens detained in our correctional facilities are removed in a timely fashion.
Refuses admission to citizens of countries who refuse repatriation of their nationals.
Prohibits those not demonstrating good moral character including terrorists and serious criminals from obtaining citizenship or receiving any sort of immigration relief or benefit.
:)Easy Does It:)
George Allen's is NOT correct.
WOO-HOO!
