Posted on 04/30/2006 9:38:02 PM PDT by Heartofsong83
This should be a list of who is planning to close their business on Monday, May 1 in response of the Great American Boycott. We should compile it and boycott them ourselves if possible!
Remember to go shopping or work overtime on May 1!

Here in Los Angeles the day is progressing fine without immigrants. WORD FOR THE DAY: We don't need no stinking immigrants! It has been a GLORIOUS day in L.A. This evening's rush hour commute was nearly half the time and half the traffic on Westside surface streets; and cars are flying down the 405.
AND, I did not hear Spanish ALL DAY LONG. Unheard of!
I did not see (or hear!) any gardeners anywhere, residentially or commercially: also unusual. None of their funky trucks with everything nearly falling off of it. No screaming kids running around the stores while I was shopping. Wow!
What a great day!!!

This is so galling....our ancestors treasured being in America and brought their hearts to make this their homes.
What the illegals are doing is taking what they can get and sending it out to their homes.

Shhh! That's one of the dirty little secrets in all this. El Presidente Fox's primary export is people to our country. His primary import is the billions of dollars that they send back to their families being held hostage in Mexico.

I'm only going to work for Republicans that fight against illegal immigration.

Well yes, the banner is definitely very pro-communista. But it strikes me as a bitter but humorous irony that they want to destroy "Globalisation Capitalism.*"
Global capitalists are the main political force in favor of having them here to work. Under a communist rule they would be signed up as citizens so fast their sombreros would spin. Partly for their votes, that's first, but mostly to make sure they were paying their taxes to keep the state fat.
*(I suppose they meant either "Global Capitalism" or "Capitalist Globalisation" but that could have been said in Spanish and wasn't.)

You're probably right, but I've let the GOP know that they have lost their base over this issue and all the war talk is not going to save them. Everyone needs to keep hammering the GOP headquarters instead of individual congress people. The people who plan on getting the candidates elected need to know where the party is failing.

Everyone should know we in CA, tried to deny them services but a Carter appointed judge overturned our proposition and then Gray Davis's AG dropped the appeal. 1994. 12 years ago we were on this issue. You got that right. The will of the people was overturned. The judge? Federal Judge Mariana Pfaelzer, a Carter appointee as you say.

Here in Milton, FL our favorite Mexican restaurant was open. It was packed out all day. Might be because the owner is an integrity filled gentleman and his wife is a gracious, lovely lady.

Ours will be worse before theirs. It's already worse for US now, isn't it?
They will be unpleasantly surprised when this country becomes the way they want, it would be much worse for them than they ever dreamed.
We have the foresight to know what it'll be like, which is why we are fighting this.

I understand. There is Someone Who sees all and knows all; in Him I find my rest and peace, as there seems to be very little of that which surrounds us of late.
