On a recent edition of the nationally-televised TV show “Fox News Sunday” (4/2/06), neoconservative warmonger William Kristol, Editor of the “Weekly Standard” magazine, admitting that he is “soft on illegal immigration,” said: “I’m a liberal on immigration. I mean, I think the Bush approach is right.” Regarding the millions of illegal immigrants who have violated the law and invaded our country, he added: “What damage have they done that’s so great in 20 years?….What’s happened that’s so terrible in the last 20 years? Is the crime rate up in the United States in the last 20 years?….And they’ve been contributing to the U.S. economy and not damaging U.S. society.”

Is the crime rate up the last 20 years? Wreckless and drunken driving without a license OR INSURANCE is hardly a crime anymore. (It would be bigoted to target this behavior.)

This is an essentially rural, safe state that borders Canada. Now you drive through parts of Manchester and it looks like a Mexican barrio. The crime is unreal, gunshots flying through the city at night, drugs flooding the area. The old-timers up here are just aghast. Of course our 2 U.S. senators are all for the phony Bush amnesty.

It's still beautiful, and safe, outside of the big cities. I'm up 50 miles north of Manchester. It's still great here. Though there was a bear near my back deck earlier tonight,lol:)
