McClellan Leaves White House Press Office AP - 16 minutes ago

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove is giving up his policy portfolio and press secretary Scott McClellan is resigning, continuing a shakeup in President Bush's administration that has already yielded a new chief of staff. A senior administration official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the president had not yet made the announcement, said Wednesday that Rove is giving up oversight of policy development to focus more on politics with the approach of the fall midterm elections.

Good!

We've been hurting since Ari left,

McClellan has been totally incompetent in dealing with the hostile press

My choice would be Dan Senor. He did very well as a spokesperson for the military during the major combat in Iraq. He's very confident and informed. I think he's a guy that could/should have been doing this job already.

Goodbye Scott. You may be great guy and friend of the President, but you were the worse WH Spokesman in history.

"... Rove is giving up oversight of policy development to focus more on politics with the approach of the fall midterm elections."

Can't have those conservative "extremist" "fringers" stealing the election from the "Republicans". Can't have that. No way. That would be unAmerican.

Tony Snow's name was mentioned. Since he is a FReeper that would get the media in an uproar.

LOL, looks, words, attitude, nor policies will matter.

As long as the right continues to pretend that the MSM is faltering, weak, biased, and on their way out.

They are not biased, they are political organizations, with political hacks posing as journalists, running a 24/7 political propaganda campaign.

The MSM write the script to all events, they withhold info, they control perceptions, context, history, and our culture.

And they are in charge, and have been for 40 years.

My choice for the next Press Secretary is Donald Rumsfeld....unfortunately we need him to stay at the Pentagon so Bush better figure out how to clone him!!!

We don't need a Press Secretary, we need a Press Handler!!

You are right on!! There are only 30% or so (but growing) that understand what you say above. Many have turned to the "Alternative Media" for their news and information, but we are not enough of a "critical mass" yet to turn public opinion.
