DURHAM, N.C. -- Police attempted to search the dorm rooms of Duke University lacrosse players amid an investigation into the alleged rape of an exotic dancer at a team party, the school's president said Friday.

Edens was the site of the previous search of McFayden's room. (I lived there for seven of my eight undergraduate semesters.)
I'd like to know if the detectives were in Eden to try to "talk" to players, and I wonder if it is legal to directly approach underage suspects who are known to have obtained legal representation.
It most certainly is.
"According to defense attorneys, the characterization of the alleged victim conforms with statements from lacrosse players that the woman was highly intoxicated when she arrived at 610 N. Buchanan Blvd. to dance for them. Beyond that, the lawyers said they had time-stamped photographs depicting the dancer in a seemingly impaired condition."
But that is not what I read earlier. I distinctly remember reading that the SECOND DANCER confirmed the players' story.
Last night the police in Durham said she did not make her accusations "until subsequent interviews."
I guess that answers the question about why they didn't search the house for 2 days, huh?
She told the N&O that she had only done "one on ones" previous to that night and that she had only been in the "business" about 3 months.
That will come as a huge surprise to the people at Diamond Girls in Durham.
She was also charged with alluding arrest and has 3 license suspensions.
That was in the April 6th show.
I wonder if he went to the holding cell to get her?
If he did, and the police let the "scene of the crime" out of their sight, Nifong is in worse shape than I thought.
But maybe that's where she got the red robe.
As I said earlier this morning, if it wasn't them, it was going to be whoever her next "call" was for.
Abrams has seen the 20 photos.
He said that they do show what the defense claims.
Did anyone see the brief news conference with the mayor and college presidents this morning? I found it very odd. There was a heaviness, a sadness, and I thought a theme - good can come out of bad. I wonder if the case crumbling is now so obvious, that the next phase - "Healing" - has begun.
I think a Durham jury would "indict a ham sandwich" as long as it was made with white bread and had something blue in the middle. New version of old joke. Sorry.
Abrams on now; he is talking about the pictures; they have been authenticated by an expert he talked to!
12:00 women already dancing -- she is missing fingers!
(watch in the pictures confirm time)
12:03 women leaving room heading toward back of the house.
Other dancer changed her clothes while the men were outside trying to get them to leave.
12:30 accuser on back steps, red and white halter top, missing one shoe.
Next picture -- she's smiling holding her cell phone
12:37 acuser lying on stairs, cuts and abrasions visible -- doormat where she may have slipped.
Nail polish on handrail in second picture that was NOT on the first picture of the back porch.
12;41 man standing outside the car, her leg hanging out -- defense says the player carried her to the second dancers car!
In the aftermath of Abu Graib, the culprits became known in the services as "the six idiots who lost us the war." I imagine the whole team knows by now whose bright idea it was to dabble in commercial sex, and launch the events that cost the nation's #2 team the season, and the coach his job ... That could be a lesson that lasts a long time.
Missing fingers or fingernails?
A warrant is a warrant. How would police "fail" to execute one?
Stupid paper....
Fingernails. I'm sorry, I was typing as fast as I could.
The women on Abrams show say that this is just over, that there is no way what she claimed occured in 7 minutes.
Wet fingernail polish on the railing tells me what she was doing in the bathroom -- painting her fingernails.
She has lied to the press, the police, the DA, and has a record of previously lying as well. This is a non case.
I tjust occurred to me how she has "injuries consistent to a sexual assault". Think she did the injuries to herself? Go back and read all the details again. It reminded me of someone I knew who intentionally inflicted injuries on herself in order to make a false case.
