The president met with Ghana's president John Kufour, and in Virginia, talked about the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit.
Condi Rice denounced Iran 's successful enrichment of uranium as unacceptable to the international community. Among others, she met with Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, and addressed the global travel and tourism summit in Washington.
Welcome to Sanity Island!
Thanks, Seven. I'll bet they paid about $4000 for that house....maybe $6000. Isn't that something? It's small and they raised 4 or 5 kids in it...till Daddy made his money in the oil bidness!
You would be right about the esophagus cancer goodnesswins. Same thing happened to Humphrey Bogart.
You can also get it after persistent untreated GERD or acid reflux.
That amazing that Dubya live in this crib boy this probably drive MSN media NUTS They think Dubya probably live in Southern Tara mansion NO SIRS Dubya live in nice middle class neighorhood
Tell me alot about Bush 41 and Barbara Sr they are really down to earth
They are very down-to-earth. I wish I hadn't had to work so I could have gone to the dedication. I work in Midland.
He and Laura had a bigger house by the time they got married. I expect someone will turn it into a shrine some day, too. I think someone is living in it at the moment. It was still a middle-class neighborhood, though.
Saving this thread, if only for the Condi family album pics!
WHY IS THAT TELL MEEE

I read a very interesting commentary today - but can't remember where - probably something that Dr Deb posted right on this thread - that JA (Job Approval) ratings are really about the economy and state of the country, not the PA (personal approval) rating.
Apparently when Clinton's PA was down around 25% for such a long time, the drive-by media backed away from using the Personal Approval (popularity) information. They do not even ask the poll question on likeability of Bush, but instead imply that the Job Approval, (which is a question like "how do you feel about the economy")is a measure of his popularity with the American people.
OH Yeah maybe in the future somebody would make offer that current owner can't refuse LOL!
Can you imagine you are living at same crib that future President of the US and First lady once live WOW
Dubya live in nice middle class neighorhood
----In Texas before Air-conditioning!!!
W outsmarts the media again, by making this "boyhood home" an official Presidential site. Until now when the media did happen to mention that he was from Midland Texas, they would show a shot of homes in the 1990s - all with swimming pools in their back yards. So that viewers would think that is how W grew up.
Wouldn't that be something? They probably gripe about all the cars that come by to see their house! LOL!
I work with a girl who used to see him running in the neighborhood when she was a kid. She said he was cute then, too.
'Nite, Seven. See ya next time!
Yeah don't forget Dubya was raised in time with NO AC In the house LOLOLOL!
OH WOW I bet the girl said she once saw Dubya in his little league uniform LOLOLOL!
Any common sense person would say the swimiming pools were ADDED Later but do you think MSN media would point that out NO WAY remember this same media that take off for Hampton every weekend so they can't tell difference LOL!
No...he was a grown man and married to Laura. This girl is just in her early 30's. She was probably in junior high when she would see him jogging down the street in her neighborhood.
He had AC, but it was probably evaporative coolers...nasty things. That's all that was available then.
OH I see I thought you mention Dubya as a boy LOLOL!
Can you imagine how much ego trip living near future President of the US LOL!
After my class last night, we picked up younger daughter at the airport and didn't get back until the wee hours of the morning.
This lady is my hero!
BRAVA to that post, Deb!!
Yark! The prez was less than a mile from where I used to live! Oh my.
