Mr. President, I thank Senator Leahy, ranking member on the Judiciary Committee. I have received just this afternoon in my office some disturbing news in the form of correspondence from the Congressional Budget Office. It suggests a number of areas where the amendment we are talking about here today, No. 3424, the immigration so-called compromise, violates our budget and the rules of the Senate. Let me read from the correspondence we have received. This is something, as you know, Mr. President, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, that we never discussed at all. It is not a matter we spent any time at all discussing as we moved forward with legislation which ultimately cleared that committee and came to the floor legislation which I thought was not good legislation and which I opposed, and so did the Senator from Texas, who just relinquished the Chair. We didn't discuss the financial impact of the legislation before us. Stand Up For America ! |

WASHINGTON The CIA fired a top intelligence analyst who admitted leaking classified information that led to a Pulitzer Prize-winning story about a network of secret CIA prisons, government officials say. The officer was a senior analyst nearing retirement, Mary McCarthy, The Associated Press learned. Reached Friday evening at home, her husband had no comment.

NEARING RETIREMENT! Poor treacherous Mary!
Wow, my own room!
Thanks for the links.
Oath Required By The Constitution And By Law To Be Taken By Senators:
"I, A__ B__, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God." (5 U.S.C. 3331.)
Thank you! LaEnchi!
I am going to include the oath in my next e-mails!
Thus far, I have only been able to write and send e-mail to six of our GOP senators. I think I should start sending the same text to the others. Like DUH!
LOL. I was doing the same thing a couple of weeks ago, then I asked myself, why do I compose anew for each one?
Copy and paste is your friend....:-)
I saved my rant to a document and that is what I have printed out for faxing.
Each sentence is a new paragraph and all in caps. Whee, it's not the internet, we can SHOUT!!!
Hehe....
LOL! I did spend too much time composing three of the six letters, but I really deemed those three the most important.
I kept all six PITHY but I was rather forceful in the three important ones. I hate to say this, but I name dropped...lol.
Now I shall compose one more and send it to the remaining senators.
I really want to send e-mails to all of the democrat senators, but I can't think of anything to say besides FOAD you treacherous, unAmerican basts. and bits.
"Exalted featherhead"! You DO have a way with words, Newman! :^)
IRS, Social Security Administration could slow illegal immigration
By insisting that every American citizen be treated the same, the Civil Rights Movement brought change that uplifted both the letter and the spirit of the law. But what illegal aliens seek is change that will corrupt and destroy the law. In fact, if they get their Third World way, America will eventually have no laws. There will only be corruption and lawlessness just like in Mexico.
I am so beside myself reading the news in the past hour, it will be on the thread ;(
Thanks Broham, it's been added to our ever growing list, will be posting it first chance I get
Teehee yeppers!
The number of articles coming out daily is encouraging. It says to me that a lot of people out there are soaking this up. Politicians are always saying they want community involvement.
WELL, THEY'VE GOT IT!
She said awe and she loves you ;)
I love these I love these...Have I told you I love these?!
