Hispanic groups in the U.S. are planning a major boycott of American life dubbed a ”day without Latinos” to protest proposed legislation that would criminalize illegal immigration.
Mexican American Political Association (MAPA) President Nativo Lopez, one of the organizers of the recent protests in Los Angeles that saw at least 500,000 people take to the streets, said the May 1 "day without Latinos” would send a stern message to Washington.
"We are looking forward to a major action in all large U.S. cities where immigrants make up a significant proportion of the workforce,” Lopez told Agence France-Presse.
"We are asking people not to go to school, or work, or shopping, and instead to go out and protest against the racist and inhumane measures in this bill.”
MAPA and other grass roots Latino groups are also organizing an April 10 protest in 20 major American cities – including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Dallas – in a bid to defeat the proposed immigration reform bill, Lopez said.
And a third day of protest is scheduled to take place Saturday in Costa Mesa, a town in Orange County, Calif., that has been a focus of anti-illegal immigrant protests for the past several months.
The city’s mayor has pushed a proposal through the city council to train police to nab and deport illegal aliens who commit crimes.
Said Lopez: "We are going there to make a tough statement right in the bedrock of the anti-immigrant movement.”
Perhaps not surprisingly, May 1 is also known as "May Day," the International Worker's Day, which is infamously celebrated in Moscow's Red Square and by communists and socialists throughout the world.
And when America rolls right on without them (as the Mexicans celebrate 5th of May) what extortion tactic will be next, threatening to leave? Bwahahahahaha
When these idiots fly that Buzzard Banner they don't realize it pi$$es off not just conservatives, but a whole lot of liberals, too. A lot of these lillly-white liberals might hate America, but I'll bet d@mn few of them want to live under the Banner of the Puking Buzzard.
You are exactly right. I have a few democrat friends some black,white,and asian and this is enraging them as well. Its not just whites that are pissed everyone that is an American that eblieve in the rule of law is getting pissed. Every American should aks the question come illegals will have more rights than real american citizens?Strangly the majority of the latino community supports this behavior. California will not fall from the US. We will go to war to keep it. To much military and strategic assets are there.
There will be burps from all that cerveza and tortillas or whatever else is fast to cook up.

If I can do it with a dinky inexpensive circa 2000 WebTC Plus that has no "Right Click-Save" and no hard drive storage - their expensive PCs and software programs should be able to do it
I'm going on strike on May 1st, too. Not that I support this movement, mind you . . . I just want a day off. LOL.
Well, at least I gave you a good opening to describe it all. A lot of times we think we are saving the 'whole' graphic and later find out we only got a part of it.
A day without latinos, huh? Is that supposed to scare me? They already did this in Atlanta, it was wonderful, you felt like you lived in the good ole USA. The traffic was better, when you shopped you didn't feel like you were in a third world country, and ya know what, Atlanta didn't crumble. So my message to the Latinos is have at it. Make it a week, month I don't care. In fact why don't you all protest march south and keep going. Don't stop until you are on the other side of the border. I think thats what you should do if you really want us to suffer.
If they walk out for a day they should be locked out for a month. Money talks when illegals walk. Lets make them scurry back to the shadows looking for something to eat. Maybe they will learn a little respect for our flag and our nation.
I've been waiting and now have a long shopping list for tomorrow.

If you do want to give financially to Republicans, give only to individual candidates/politicians who support or vote to secure our borders and don’t cater to illegals!!!
