He's a right Charlie (Guardian calls Charlie Sheen insane?)
The Guardian ^ | March 25, 2006 | Marina Hyde

Posted on 03/25/2006 1:23:05 PM PST by RWR8189

Pay attention, civilians. Actor Charlie Sheen has been focusing his mind on the official explanation for 9/11. And you know what? He's not buying it. "It just didn't look like any commercial jetliner I've flown on any time in my life," the Hotshots Part Deux star told a US radio station this week, "and then when the buildings came down later on that day, I said to my brother 'call me insane', but did it sorta look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition?"

You're insane. Next. "It seems to me like 19 amateurs with box cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75% of their targets, that feels like a conspiracy theory."

But it is George Bush's assertion that he saw the first plane hit the north tower of the World Trade Centre before any footage of it had been released that tells Charlie he's on to something. "I guess one of the perks of being president is that you get access to TV channels that don't exist in the known universe," he continued in a manner which in no way suggests he once had a monstrous coke problem. "It might lead you to believe that he'd seen similar images in some type of rehearsal as it were, I don't know."

Mmm. For many celebrities, conspiracy theories are the VIP rooms of history. Sure, you'll have your Earl Warrens and your senate investigations patrolling the velvet rope, but if you know the right people, and have access to enormous quantities of self-regard, you can get through to the inner sanctum where they tell you It's All A Big Lie.

Sheen, along with other ex-hollywood actors, actually works for Bush to whip up conspiracy theories to make the Left appear loony.

I have it on good authority that Karl Rove is the most powerful man in Hollywood.

If I can find the time and inspiration to do it, I hoping to work up a weekly comic strip featuring "George Noodles" on the "Sea to shining Sea" radio show.

George will cover all the important issues, always giving fair coverage to both sides.

BTW ol' George is more leftist/conspiracy nut than you give him credit for. A few weeks ago Alex Jones was on, Alex mentioned that he had spoken to John Huang(odd this isn't a conspiracy Alex has covered) and George said he felt like Paul Revere, opening the nation's eyes to things like 'Bohemian Grove' and the Dubai ports deal. Paul Revere? How about chicken little?

RE: "George Noodles"

Good one!

Yeah, he gets my bowels in an uproar sometimes and I send a "fast blast."

He said that he intends to have Sheen on as a guest.

I have no way of knowing and I've heard nothing of the sort -- but, I bet Hollywood done got ahold of Mr. Noodles.

I've listened to radio since the 1940s and he's one of the best (professionally speaking).

Good luck on your project!

(You know that he goes absolutely ballistic when someone mentions Halliburton, right? I wonder what would happen if it kicked in suddenly when he's introducing the night's guest, Hal E. Burton.)

He and Art Bell are top notch radio broadcasters, too bad they're so steeped in leftist conspiracy theory and mainstream liberal nonsense.

What a total Dahhhhh.

Guess all that pot he smoked/smokes or stuff he has snorted etc. has killed off more brain cells than even his doctor knew.

Only explanation I can think of to justify such a STUPID statement.

Where and when did GWB ever claim that? Mr. Strawman, meet Mr. Sheen.

I believe it's a reference to two occasions. First, December 4, 2001, when President Bush's account does seem to indicate that he saw the first plane--and it contradicts the earlier story that he'd heard about it from Secretary Rice. From White House transcript:

Q One thing, Mr. President, is that you have no idea how much you've done for this country. And another thing is that, how did you feel when you heard about the terrorist attack? (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Jordan. Well, Jordan, you're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my Chief of Staff, Andy Card -- actually, I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on. [Note: Principal of school says there was no TV there.] And I used to fly, myself, and I said, well, there's one terrible pilot. I said, it must have been a horrible accident.

But I was whisked off there, I didn't have much time to think about it. And I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my Chief of Staff, who is sitting over here, walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower, America is under attack."
Secondly, on January 5, 2002, President Bush very explicitly said that he saw the first plane hit:
...]Anyway, I was in the midst of learning about a reading program that works. . . . I was sitting there, and my Chief of Staff - well, first of all, when we walked into the classroom, I had seen this plane fly into the first building. There was a TV set on.[...]
Looks like President Bush made an error of recollection, but if you'd like to read more of the conspiracy theories about it, with links to video, etc., check out:

Looks like President Bush made an error of recollection...

I agree. Thanks for the information.

As I recall it, news coverage (on CNBC, at least) didn't switch to a live shot of the WTC until several minutes (possibly as much as 10 minutes) after the first plane had hit. There were a few minutes spent showing the fire in the first tower when the second plane entered the frame and hit the second tower. I'd have to review a timeline to be sure I'm even accurate at that.

I doubt that any other stations were much faster than CNBC was.

Although Sheen is obviously a lunatic, I'd be interested to see if any of you who judge his statements to be so absurd could find any scientifics explanations that account for the data concerning the collapse of the towers:

"CoasttocoastAM"

Boy, have the wheels come off that show since Art Bell left or what? When Art was there it was like reading the National Enquirer - mostly BS but entertaining. And Art just kept a straight face and went along with it, using his awesome radio voice. Now it's just garbage.
