A Dubai-owned company has agreed to turn over all its operations at U.S. ports to an American entity, Sen. John Warner said today. Reading a statement from DP World on the Senate floor, Warner said the company wants to preserve the strong relationship between Dubai and the United States. The announcement came soon after congressional leaders reportedly told President Bush that the DP World deal appeared dead on Capitol Hill.

-------Right off CNN web site. I think we're all becoming hysterical. They saw this as the easiest end of the situation. SAys they want to preserve the strong relationship between the two countries.

however, there is a big inconsistancy with COSCO and other foriegn governments running major operations here.
thats why this is a two edged sword, either we stay consistant, or we kick out all foriegn government involvement of major US interests.

either way, UAE just said that they will be selling off there interest in the deal to a US company.

Sorry, but not every Republican is buying into the President's GLOBALIZATION of our country.

The UAE port of Dubai has serviced more American ships than any other foreign port. Many of our planes fly in and out every day. Without Dubai our war on terror will be hampered.
