I suppose on this thread it goes without saying, but I'll say in anyway...BOYCOTT THE OSCARS tonight.
I want the ratings for this year's program go into the toilet (where most the nominated movies belong). I won't waste my money to see the films, my electricity to watch the Oscars, or my time watching to witness Hollywood's self-adulation fest.
Pass it on...

Have they already done the tribute to the stars who left us this last year? That's the only thing I want to see. I thought this was about the time in the show they usually air it.
BTW, I hate to remind everyone of the obvious if they are watching the tribute, but don't look away from the tube or you'll miss one, maybe one of your favorites. Some go by quickly.

Are you watching the Andy Griffith show tribute to Don Knotts on TV Land? Hubby and I watched several episodes last night and laughed and laughed! Don Knotts was one talented actor... :o)

I can't watch "Saving Private Ryan" either. I'm just never "in the mood" for a movie like that.

This is the worst academy award show I have every watched.I agree. Hmmm... lots of old film clips and lots of actors insisting: "The best way to see movies is on the BIG screen".
Hollyweird is hurting... I love it. ;-)

Drudge was warned that Altman would do a bunch of Bush bashing.
Altman started out by saying they had a time clock on him.
Apparently, Altman didn't get the time to give the speech he really wanted to give. So, he want bland.

Altman didn't say anything controversial at all.
He did mention he had a total heart transplant...I think he said ten years ago. I didn't realize that.
Heart transplants are sure more successful than they used to be.
