OK I will lighten up. It was just a few at the beginning and really by the time I got to the bottom it did seem like some light fun. Sorry for the overboard reaction.

What are you giving up for Lent? Thank you for reminding me, I have been so busy that I forgot to think about what I was giving up for Lent.
I am on a diet now so I guess I will just extend it through Lent.
I also already say the Rosary everyday.
I will think of something!

LOL!
No, no, no.
When I do go, I attend either Annunciation or St Peter's.
St Joan of Arc is a little too far out for my taste.

FR for Lent. I wanted to give up something that would be difficult, but would probably better my state of mind!

Yes, I have "kids' but they are all grown up.
It's not that I don't like PB, just not in my coffee.
Coffee should be brewed with fresh ground beans, drank black,/w maybe 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Some people put cream in it, which is ok, I guess... Maybe.

Do you think some padres give up playing with little boys?

Interesting link. In the section that title "A More Complete Analysis it says:
"The Season of Lent was instituted in the 4th century as a period of fasting and repentance in preparation for Easter."
I am just curious as to who instituted this?
