I know I'm getting old, but this news really makes me feel old and sad. Barney should live on forever, and thanks to re-runs he will. He provided many laughs to me, my family and across our beloved country.

He was a very good actor and very funny too. I will watch my dvd's of The Incredible Mr. Limpet and I also own 4 movies in the reluctant hero box set which include: The Reluctant Astronaut, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, The Shakiest Gun in the West and The Love God.

That episode was one of my favorites too. My parents (for some reason) were never big Andy Griffith fans but i got them to watch that particular episode one day and they had to wipe tears from their eyes they were laughing so hard.
