Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..
He wants to run for POTUS. He can't run for pres and senate at the same time. He can't get the nomination (I'd even take McCain over Hagel - same difference and McCain could beat Hillary). He loses.
WTF:
CRAWL ON C-SPAN
REID SAYS PRESIDENTS BUDGET SHOWS CULTURE OF CORRUPTION??
I was screaming so loudly that I missed most of it but I'll try to paraphrase. Gonzales turned the question back to Durbin suggesting that if intelligence information was shared with members of congress, what safeguards are there to insure it would remain confidential.
don't know why they're not thrilled with him at all. Can't imagine anything that he has done to anger them, other than to change the letter behind his name.
I've noticed
Nothing...just playing to their far far left groups...whom give 'em lots of $$$$. They're all a bunch of complete A-Holes.
Go AG!!
Get that man some Aleve!
...because they're drunk with power and self-importance.
Yah....I'm working on California....not sure it was a smart move!
This would be a fascinating discussion of the rights of the citizens to "know"..vs the right of the citizens to be protected...IF it weren't for the transparently political agenda of the left.
Durbin brought up legitimate points- how can and why should we- trust any particular branch of government? Checks and balances, of course. If we look simply at principles involved- I frankly shudder to envision a possible CIC Clinton running this program. If it were a lib in the White House I damn well want a grown up watching- so I get "the point". We've not had a liberal running our defense and protection since 9/11...but what are we to do when that day comes?
...kennedy's back up?..
Sorry I was busy typing and missed it.
He won't be vp or ag either
rofl...thanks for explaining...I wasa talking about Goober peeing on the rug and then lying down for a nap. I had vissions of him, with his leg lifted, peeing on the corner of Dick Durbin's chair.

Reid blasts Bush's Medicare cuts
WASHINGTON, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid called President Bush's $2.77 trillion budget, which was released Monday, "Republican corruption on display."
In a statement released before the budget was made public, Reid, D-Nev., attacked the president for cutting Medicare and other programs. He said that the elderly were already familiar with "the price of corruption" from wrestling with the president's Medicare prescription plan.
"Now the President's priority is to protect those special interest profits while jeopardizing access to care for those same seniors," Reid said.
The budget aims to reduce the growth of Medicare spending by $36 billion in the next five years, mainly by limiting increases in hospital payments and freezing payments to nursing homes.
Most of Bush's attempted cuts in domestic programs last year were restored by Congress, which could be even more likely in a year when the entire House and one-third of the Senate face elections.
Why does that not surprise me? The man has become an embarrassment! He has turned into a full-on moonbat.
Jimmy, go build a house or something, OK? Make yourself useful.
Yah....I'm working on California....not sure it was a smart move!
???
er, rather that the congressional oversight would ensure any better conduct of the surveillance... I think.
