Posted on 02/06/2006 6:08:53 AM PST by ken5050
Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

It sounded like Gonzalez was on the verge of telling turdbin that if certain things were told to senators, they couldn't be trusted to not leak to the press, haaa! Not in so many words he did .. LOL

Gonzales must have more self discipline than most of us!
Durbin: letters from two other 9/11 family members and will only read the last sentence.
They are concerned about civil liberties.
If my husband is killed by a jihadist, it will bring him cold comfort that I was concerned about civil liberties vs. his potential death.

Gonzales stepped in another trap there, slightly. Basically saying that FISA could be used (in more cases) but it was too much of a burden. Earlier he said that some of the targets were not amenable to FISA, period, that no matter how much time the DoJ had, a warrant could not issue.

Oh right. Turdbin reads a statement purportedly from 9-11 family member saying "protecting our civil rights is all that matters".
Sure, I'll just bet that's what their loved ones were thinking when the plane crashed into the tower. yeah, uh-huh...

Yeah, right. Their loved ones were thinking about civil rights when they crashed into the Pentagon. Pfft.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are about 3 signatures on that letter. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a total fabrication and not legitimate whatsoever.

Graham and Durbin both seem to have this NEED for Bush to grovel to Congress for permission to do HIS job.
