And not to mention you have to factor in -0 to 7 points for the Ben td.

There is no way to do "what if". No telling who would have won if the refs hadn't messed it up. Nobody can say Seattle should have won, or that Pittsburgh didn't really win. We just will never know.

I can't decide which was worse.

The Referee's stealing the game for the steelers,

or

Mic Jagger's belly button.

To me I think Seattle won that game. give Seattle the 14 points they should have had and they won 24-21

I'm not a Seattle fan, and I don't agree.

So what?

Shoulda gone with my very first instinct. I was thinking 1984 at first, so that was closer. But this one was the Buster Rhymes game I could see in my mind's eye. That was pre-Aikman and pre-Holieway. Danny Bradley was QB and Spencer Tillman was "just" a freshman.

We lost 28-21. I do remember that. It was a home game, Sat of Thanksgiving weekend. I lived in OKC then, but was in Houston for Turkey Day. I almost never got Neb tickets and I never went to Lincoln, but did go to many away games. In fact, come to think of it, '83 was when we played UofHawaii and I did go to Honolulu for that one a week after the Neb game, right before "Mele Kalikimaka."

No bowling for us that year, I guess. Our trip to the Rainbow was better (well, "almost as good," anyway).

We did win the National Championship 2 seasons later and beat Penn State in the Orange Bowl then. Glad you remembered the bad refs!

But, you have the lame east coast malaise. Stay in frozen hell, its 82 here today, and everyone is in shorts.

LOL! And I bet you have great legs.

LOL.

Yeah, but you never know how Pittsburgh would have reacted at that point at 24-21. The bad calls affected both team's strategy and thinking. We will flat out never know who should have won that game.

Pro Wrestling is actually more real than what you saw tonight.

I was waiting for one of the  Pittsburgh coaches run out and hit Hasselbeck with a steel chair while the Refs aren't looking.

The flag that was thrown on that bogus Offense Pass Interference  call in the first half just sold on Ebay for  $15,000..

Steelers just been handed a stolen ticket to Disneyworld!!

QB be called for chop blocking on a guy WITH THE BALL! What was that about?

Game ball was presented to the refs after the game. This is on par with the 1919 Black Sox scandal.

I personally know where they hide the slush fund to pay off the refs. I'm donning my tinfoil hat now and going to talk to myself how Gore got robbed!!

Supposedly at one point a ref was gonna throw a flag against the Hawks, pulls something out of his pocket but it's a terrible towel so he stuffs it back in and then throws the correct flag.

I wonder what we should think about that?

"I've been watching the post game comments about the Steelers victory and the Seahawks loss on ESPN and FOX Sports Network"

Just an FYI; the sports commentators on sports based shows such as Fox Sports, ESPN, ESPN2, Speed, etc. are instructed NOT to comment on officiating unless they are commending the officials. If 'nothing' is said about officiating by the commentators in a positive or congratulatory way, then that is likely an indication of their personal thoughts on it. The networks have put the muzzle on their hosts doing that.

Just thought I would mention it. You can't base the integrity or quality of the Officials (referees, umpires, etc) in any sport just by listening to network hosts.

I found out that three SB MVP's were not in attendance for the game yesterday (Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw and Jake Scott). Here's the story and the reasons they gave for not wanting to be in attendance. Joe Montana has turned into an ego-maniac.

It makes you wonder. As I stated before the game began, I was happy with either team winning so long as it wasn't influenced by the referees.

Pitt had allot of bogus (or blown) calls go their way during the playoffs.

Seattle won their games in the playoffs in spite of blown/bogus calls in favor of their opponents.

It does make you wonder.

Which playoffs were you watching? Couldn't have been the NFL.

...and in 6 weeks, no one will care or remember (save the few fanatics that cannot let go).

Folks no longer talk about the White Sox/Astros game where the catcher rolled the ball back to the mound.

Folks no longer talk about Brett Hull being in the crease to shoot the game winner in the Stanley Cup finals.

Folks no longer talk about Kevin McHale's foot being on the three-point line when shooting the game winner in a NBA Finals game.

Bring on baseball!!
