When Cowher made that statement was after the 4th time in one season the league apologized for blowing calls that cost the Steelers a game, reverse those 4 games and the Steelers go to the playoffs which they didn't do.
The officiating was so-so, not incompetent or corrupt. Not great either, but not half as bad as the Seattle fans are saying. All the calls the Seattle fans are complainig about the most were 100% correct at all times.
Mwahahahahahahaha! *twirls moustache evilly*
Only intelligent fans can understand how much '95 hurt those who backed the team for so long.
I remember that happening but can't recall the opponent!!!
The Steelers deserved the W.
They all love "the wet stuff." And they love to smack it extra loud before it goes down the gullet.
My cat loves Friskees "Flaked with Tuna and Egg." I have NO idea what exactly is "flaked," but it sure is rank and smacks loudly and sticky-like. If my blubbery cat blew up there would be "Flaked" all over the house and I'd have to just move.
You are sweet to have adopted your tough kitty. :-)
I'll have to catch Puppy Bowl next time. Sounds cute.
:-)
The call on Hasslebeck for an illegal block AFTER the interception was a good call? Do not concur, FRiend.
This is to you and everyone else crying about the bad calls by the officials that cost the Seahawks the game.
I've been watching the post game comments about the Steelers victory and the Seahawks loss on ESPN and FOX Sports Network.
The subject of bad calls never came up once, anywhere. Nobody except the whining Seahawks fans are saying anything about bad calls. Nobody. Anywhere.
Everyone else figures that the Steelers won the game fair and square. Everyone. Except the whiners on this thread.
Get over it. Your team lost. Fair and square. Quit being in denial. That's a river in Africa. You all look like poor sports and sore losers. Which is exactly what you are.
It's playing around the clock seemingly on the Animal Channel right now. LOL
WWE diva Candice Michelle
What is that supposed to mean? The referees were crybabies so they threw more flags?
It's an absurd claim, and your post is absurd too.
I think that was a bad call because I don't like how they interpretted the rule, BUT the exact same call (both on interceptions) went against the Steelers twice in the regular season under the exact same logic (against the Colts and against the Bengals, back-to-back weeks we had that call go against us, though the penalized guy was a receiver trying to make the post INT tackle instead of the QB, that's the only difference). So while I disagree with the rules interpretation that was consistent with how they've interpretted the rules all year. So I can't call it a "good" call but I will say it's not a "bad" call because it's consistent.
They've talked about them repeatedly on NFL Network but everybody they've asked (except Holmgren) like the calls.
You mean the one that said "I don't wanna sound like a bad teammate but we kinda had some protection problems out there". Hey autograph hound, if you could have a little mobility in the pocket then........
Not a bad call! You must be supernatural!
Biotech, high tech, semiconductor plants, travel and tourism.
Who the hell says "hey, lets go to pittsburgh!"
You go ahead and live in your eastern hell. Don't come out to the beautiful part of the country, we don't want anyone else coming out here.
As for sports, Suns are good, Diamondbacks are good, there is a mediocre hockey team, the Sun Devils and a mediocre NFL team. All Pittsburgh has is the Steelers, you don't support the penguins or the pirates. But, you have the lame east coast malaise. Stay in frozen hell, its 82 here today, and everyone is in shorts.
Yeah I think the funniest part of Peyton complaining about the protection is when the nose tackle almost got him on a scramble right. Sure it was bad for the nose tackle to get through the offensive line, but a QB should be able to outrun a nose tackle even if they're unblocked. Definitely some mobility issues.
In your dreams. The officiating was abysmal. They were ticky-tack calls and the rothliesburger touchdown was total clusterf@#$ of a call. This isn't college ball where the players entire body can be out of bound but if his hands had the ball in the endzone area in the air as he's being thrown out of bounds its still a touchdown. The replays show the ball was on the ground behind the line and didn't cross the line (until after he was tackled and shoved the ball across the line). Its extremely questionable of the ball even crossed the line while still in the air.
I'm sure if the refs made the right call, the steelers would of still been at 4th down and inches and would of gone for it, and probably would of scored, but then, that would of been a legit touchdown.
