Skins fan here, and that had to be the worst officiating in a Super Bowl ever. Congrats to the Steelers for the win, but the incompetent refs will keep the water cooler talk buzzing tomorrow.
Don't forget there were about three guys holding for Pittsburgh on that 70 yard TD much worse than the guy was for Seattle when they called back the play down to the 2.
Yeah, the officiating could have been better, but Seattle just couldnt get over the hump to capitalize on the things that they did well. Had they done that, no ref calls could have taken it away from them. Thats what a championship team does. Seattle wasnt it today, unfortunately. Again, grats to the Steelers, they are a good team who went through a lot to win this game...JFK

No, YOU DA MAN!!! I was just following your lead. And a heck of a good leader you turned out to be. I was following the right man.
We were sure a team. I hope we get a chance to team up for next year's Super Bowl too.
Yes, I raise my glass in a toast to YOU, good friend.
"Somebody should be dragged out and stripped of their striped uniform to do this."
Yes, they should.
I was wondering . . .
It is arguable that the ball crossed the plane while BS was in the air, but clearly when he came down, it was well short of the goal line. But that is not one of the calls that I am mad about; I am mad about the pushoff call on DJ, and the holding call on the Stevens catch at the 2 yard line. Those were the game-breakers.
I agree with you, although those are both within his range, they were pretty long. If I were to have bet, I would have bet he'd make one of two on those.
"I have a "TIVO-like" device and we watched that over and over and over and over again and I defy anyone to tell me the ball even came close to breaking the plane...........the ABC commentators even were saying ti looked like a questionable call - even after review!"
I did the same thing and watched it on extremely slow motion and paused. I don't think it was a TD. Madden also said the holding call when Seattle got to the 2 was a bad call. And Steve Young and Michael Irvin said that the offensive PI call was a TD stolen from Seattle.
Why is that, I wonder???
I guess, i'll have to start watching golf, bowling. Something that can't be setup like this. I feel sorry for the Seattle fans, and the players.
Didn't someone say he's dead?

I have seen that happen before in only a few games, don't think it happened here. I think the Hawks were the better team but just did not finish. They really didn't. They lost the game themselves by poor plays....two missed FG's, and the missed touchdown by the receiver at the end of the first half.
Bad timing by the Hawks themselves, not bad referees.
So do I! Just heard from one of my "first soldiers" who was in the initial drive to Baghdad. He loved it. Thanks. Hope your team won. :)
I had no dog in this fight so I'm quite happy.
Yup. Those two alone make it 24-21 Seattle.
I thought the officiating in the puppy halftime show was much better than the game.
The kitty halftime show is a little less fair. Seems like the behind the scenes people are proding the kittens into action. The dogs just played on their own.
I'll take the puppies and the over.
