Probably a wise move on your part...I'm a glutton for punishment so I will.My vocal cords need a good workout and my neighbors need a little noise to make the night.

Fred Barnes calling it a "very conventional SOTU address." Smaller proposals than usual.
To: CurlyBill
He's just still pissed that 41 considered dumping his boss, Quayle. Talk about holding a grudge...

Said conservatives would be unhappy with it -- I switched to FOX and Newt Gingrich and Chris Wallace -- more interesting appraisals.

Kristol critical of speech, says W didn't stress tax cut reauthorization enough, was not combative, was "Clintonion", what ever that means.

Russert just said that the domestic spying charges will go all the way to the SCOTUS and that will be the defining element not only for Bush but for history.
Dumb A$$!
He claims the cabinet that escorted him in...the ones he alluded to "filling in" on the NSA thing...they will claim that they didn't know the details.

Listening to the talking heads.
I don't think they heard the same speech that I did.
Bill Crystal said it was concilliatory.
I saw lots of red meat.

I agree. If the President had spent too much time on the tax cuts, Kristol would have complained about that too. He's a malcontent.

He hasn't the oratory exuberance of Patrick Henry or Ronald Reagan, but nonetheless a very good speech, (even if he shied away from addressing some tougher issues).
Actions though, wield more credibility than words.

I asume your comment about Luddite Bush was a joke.
Hard sciences DO need a push, and I am glad to see he is going with it. All you have to do is read the news reports on science and (if you have a physical science background as I do) know that the American public is falling behind on science knoledge.
