Jim Lehrer, on his NewsHour program on PBS on Friday night, ridiculed John Kerry for calling for filibuster from "the ski slopes." Click the link above for the entire transcript. Liberal Mark Shields and conservative columnist David Brooks both joined Lehrer for some Kerry bashing.
This exchange is making left-wing radicals furious, who are now calling Mark Shields a "Republican stooge" and a "Fox News Democrat." One leftist website had this to say to Mark Shields, long time CNN analyst:
"This is the most despicable performance in your long career of pretending to be a Democrat. If you love George Bush with such devotion, then go register as a Republican today. Better yet, pick up a gun and go fight his disastrous war in Iraq. And give your "Democratic" spot on PBS to a REAL Democrat - someone with the cojones to stand up to the Emperor Without Clothes and his mouthpiece, Jim Lehrer!"

But, then, they will ignore and demean the voices of those who have fought in Iraq.
Consistency is certainly not the hobgoblin of liberal minds.
Mark Shields IS a Stooge, but defnitely a Democrat one!!
Do you have the pic of Kerry windsurfing with no wind? There is NO wind in the sails for the PHILLY-BLUSTERING girlie men in the Senate.
Edselcrats! Good one!! Kind of like the "buggy whip" media.
PBS is not NPR.
PBS is usually liberal, but Lehrer isn't too bad. I like that they actually cover stories in depth on the NewsHour without the extreme bias of NPR.

What's the difference? Both conscript your tax dollars to fund a view you may or may not support. That one is ultra-wackadoo and the other is only semi-wackadoo doesn't make much of a difference IMHO.
You seem shocked that this would be the case. America has always had commies and socialists since there have been such people.
In fact, in the early-mid 1900's, they were at dangerously high levels.
If you think that America somehow will gain tons of them though, you are mistaken. They will never be a political force capable of actually winning elections or coming close. But, they will help peel off Dem votes if they become strong enough.
Good point.
I agree. Thanks
just trying to be technical since some were thinking this happened on NPR.
The difference between PBS and NPR....sometimes PBS will actually be on the right side of an issue. NPR never is.

Actually, Kerry is the quintessential narcissist - hence the inability to see himself as needing advice or as being wrong. The "hero in Vietnam" and medals for nothing are all symptomatic of this serious personality defect. His call for a filibuster is a reflection of this same disorder. He is a "look at me" junkie.
The godfathers in the Democratic Party will destroy him to make way for Hilary.
