WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. John Kerry has decided to support a filibuster to block the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court, CNN's Congressional Correspondent Ed Henry reported Thursday. Kerry, in Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum, was marshaling support in phone calls during the day, Henry said.

You don't just try today. They've been talking about this for weeks. You don't just pull this out now. You get your damn ducks in a row and then you do it. What's the point if we don't even have our folks together. Is it to draw attention that we can't even organize our own party? No thanks.
The time to "try" was when the hearings happened. Instead of talking to hear yourself talk we should have given him some rope and then pounced on him.
The time to "try" was when he was announced. Try doing some research on the guy and organizing some damn talking points. If all the Democrats had been saying the same things about this guy for two months, then maybe we could pull off a filibuster right now. Instead we've got two New England Senators trying to organize a last minute fight. Why? We already lost.

Isn't the Bill Clinton/Dick Morris axiom in politics that 'all news is good news'? This lame(brain) call for a filibuster (without having the votes)is just Kerry's pathetic attempt to beam himself from the political wilderness back into the DIM 2008 presidential spotlight. Jean Claude hopes that DIM media lapdogs like Chrissy Matthews will give his story a big play tonight getting his name out there again. Oh, what a great leader...

We have not forgotten.
However, the fact of the matter is, we should not go nuclear unless we have to. This is not a case in which we have to since Kerry's little stunt will not matter. He will lose. This only gives him props from the left for at least trying to mount a filibuster.
