Debate continues in the Senate today on the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. At present no time has been announced for a final vote. Stop by and discuss.
I can't find the "Robert C. Byrd Coalminers Safety Award."
/sarc.
Which was visited last week by the Iranian Terrorist President and accompanied by one of the world's foremost terrorists...
Things are indeed shaping up for a BIG fight. Will make Iraq look easy.
About the same thing Carville and Begala are saying in their new book.
Starting a fight when you are going to get you ASS kicked is not a good idea. Nobody loves a loser.
The 'Rat supporters and their allies in the Lamestream Media are in denial over the basic fact that they are now the minority. This is, admittedly, hard for them to figure out -- Republican President, Republican House, and outnumbered 55-44-1 in the Senate -- but those morons can't be expected to understand obvious facts when it conflicts with their own view of themselves as righteous and morally correct.
Reality will sink in a bit more once Alito is confirmed. I expect some of those losers will give up on politics and find something else to do.
I sent an e-mail over to Kelsey Grammar and begged him to consider running on the Republican ticket against Diane Feinstein. It's not too late to jump in and his name recognition would give him instant marketable ratings against that idiot! She's in her 70s anyway and needs to be retired...Anyone else wish to send Kelsey a nice encouraging note, please feel free. Kelsey@kelseylive.com
"To maintain their hold on the power that allows them to do these things, they have also pandered shamelessly to the ideological fantasies of a narrow but influential segment of extreme social conservatives, engaged in brazen and repulsive propaganda initiatives, and used those same powers to block legitimate enquiries into the activities of Executive Branch staff and appointees."
Columbia University Professor is my bet.
If he did that, then good for him.
Too bad decency didn't stick though.
Agreed, excellent tagline.
Yesterday I was trying to dredge up the Thomas records for the Act for Relief of Terri Schiavo's parents and couldn't find the record of the Senators' votes. (I found the list of House votes) I kept getting system error messages. Do you know where I can find a list of the Senators' votes?
Good for you! Did you receive a reply?
Did I miss something or did she say that Alito stated that he supported one person, one vote? I'm thinking that I must not of heard correctly because she is going off on him denying people the right to vote.
"Lieberman will vote no."
Is he up for reelection? He pissed of the RATS with his Iraqi position a month or so back.
Chuck Grassley up.
Honestly, I wasn't paying attention to Blanche's ramblings. Maybe another brave soul was actually listening to her.
Grassley: Alito did a great job at the hearings, under fire.
"Challenged by Senator Barry Goldwater"
Also General Barry Goldwater.
God bless him!
I can't believe that abortion trumps all other issues.
I can believe that our senators think this is a winning issue and are using it as cover for voting against the opposition party's nominee.
Abortion is not on the chopping block, everyone knows that, our senators by claiming to be defending abortion are insulting our intelligence.
Grassley: Contrary to what the other side says, Alito actually answered hundreds of questions. One of the most forthcoming nominees.
If Hillary ever spoke the truth just once she would probably turn into a pillar of salt.
Grassley: I've been on judiciary comm. more than 25 years. We evaluate for integrity, etc. Whether nominee understands role of a Justice under our constitution. Justice cannot have an agenda.
