Byrd replay - good stuff.
If you aren't watching C-SPAN2 right now, it's worth the time to switch.

I think we're seeing a split in the Dems; even the ones we don't like have about had enough of Kerry-Kennedy-Schumer-Gore and don't want to be associated with them.

Oh sleazy Joe has "profound doubts." Seem Joe is reverting back the old days when he ran as Gore's VP to get a vote

All the talk of Liebermann being such a good guy is bogus; try to think of ONE TIME he's done the right thing.
He's a media created "centrist" when in fact, he's a left wing lib with the exception of Israel and some military matters.

Alito's nomination don't need no stinkin' Joementum.

"Mr. President, was it necessary to ..and upset Mrs. Alito (can't now remember the exact wording now .. LOL) .. under the glare of the klieg lights?" Keep in mind he is referring to the presiding officer of the Senate, not the President of the United States of America.
This is a really good speech.
To: Howlin; Common Tator
Common Tator thinks much of Frist's problems have been Lott's behind-the-scenes deals. He also thinks Bush has cut a deal with Lott in order to get things moving.
I don't particularly care, as long as we get someting moving in the Senate. Frist is leaving in January, so if we have to have Lott back in power I will put up with it if he has learned something from his time in the wilderness.
I am willing to put up with Lott if we get permanent tax cuts, the renewal of the Patriot Act, and ANWR.
SOMETHING is going on behind the scenes. I choose to look at results, as the "sausage making" is bound to get me upset. LOL!
I should hasten to add that I don't know if any of this is true at all. We probably won't know until someone writes a book years from now.

Frist isl eaving in January? You mean, leaving the senate?
Lott has to run for reelection here in November.
I do NOT want him in a leadership position, but I like his new haircut....lol.
