I have a question. Didn't Frist say that he would force senators to debate until 11:00 last night? What happened?

I think that the Democrats start at 10:00 Eastern. Then they will alternate each hour.

I watched part of this for several hours yesterday -

Very Sad but very telling how the democrats believe that the courts should be the creators of law. It is blindly clear that they think if they can control the courts then they still have a chance at controlling the country.

What is sad is they choose to ignore the fact that they lost two elections and the people are tired of courts like the 9th and want the process stopped.

It makes me sick - but then a lot of thing s do.

I believe the debate did continue into the night, but, I'm not sure. Frist and Reid have been strangely absent, however. Frist didn't open the session this morning. The gentleman who opened session said that a time for a vote is still being worked on. I think some red state democrats are weighing how they will vote.

Hamas now completly controls the PLO entity.
Iran threatens to close the Straight of Hormuz.
Iraq's WMDs may now be in Syria.
Patriot Act set to expire next week.

But the 'rats need to stretch out the Senate debato of Alito to deprive the President of a soundbite in the SOTU Tuesday night.

Great points. In fact, Mary Landrieu said she would not support a filibuster because there is more important business for the Senate to take up.

I kept turning back to C-Span last night and saw a replay of speeches so I have a feeling that Frist didn't hold the Senators to debating until 11:00. If this is the case, he has GOT to stop threatening them with stuff he doesn't or can't carry out.

That's the channel I was checking with and all I saw was a replay of the Senator's speeches from the daytime.
