To: Peach

I believe the debate did continue into the night, but, I'm not sure. Frist and Reid have been strangely absent, however. Frist didn't open the session this morning. The gentleman who opened session said that a time for a vote is still being worked on. I think some red state democrats are weighing how they will vote.

I kept turning back to C-Span last night and saw a replay of speeches so I have a feeling that Frist didn't hold the Senators to debating until 11:00. If this is the case, he has GOT to stop threatening them with stuff he doesn't or can't carry out.

The Senate adjourned last night just before 8:00 PM ET. I can only guess it was some kind of compromise. Someone on the other thread suggested they all may have wanted to leave in time for "American Idol".
