I just heard a CPC guru say on CPAC that a one or two seat pick up in Atlantic CA indicates a real good night. It looks like that they are gonna get that.

If they want to do this right, they should have the polls close across the country at generally the same time. The way it's being done now clearly has loopholes that people can pick up on. The law was made with good intentions, but this isn't 20 years ago. It works in principle, but it cannot work in application in the internet age.

We'll see. I just remember in '94 that when the GOP won some key districts, it was an early barometer of success nationwide.
They do have the polls open and close at roughly the same time. There's a 4.5 hour gap between B.C. and Newfoundland, there's only so much you can do to keep things open evenly. So polls opened late in the morning in the Maritimes and closed lated, like at 8 or 8:30, while they opened at 7 in B.C. and close at 7 local time.
Simultaneous closings would mean either closing too early on the West Coast for people to go after work or keeping the polls open on the east coast until a ridiculously late hour.
I have heard we have gained at least 2 seats, and neck and neck in 2 others, in addition to the 7 we already hold.

This is worse than I expected so far, I expected 11 not 9 here minimum.
Well, in 2000 they charged someone. He took it to Court - the BC Supreme Court struck down the law on Constitutional grounds - so, for 2004, the law didn't apply. Then the BC Appeals Court reversed the Supreme Court, so now it's going to go to the Supreme Court.
In my opinion:
+2 in Atlantic Canada would be acceptable.
+3 would be decent.
+4 would be good.
>4 would be excellent.

I'd say they'd have to win fifteen seats or so for a majority (or near-majority) to be in the cards.
We're going to win - but not by much. Not by enough, I fear.
Well, it's going to come down to Ontario, Quebec, and BC now.
