Washington -- House Democrats warned President Bush, top leaders of his administration and officials of the National Security Agency on Friday that if the political climate changes they could face criminal prosecution for ordering and carrying out warrantless domestic eavesdropping.
"These are clearly crimes and the statute of limitations extends beyond this president's term,'' which will end in January 2009, said Rep. Jerry Nadler D-N.Y., at an ad hoc hearing called by House Judiciary Committee's Democrats to assail Bush's contention that his order for warrantless domestic wiretaps on American citizens is legal.

Thanks snugs...
Parenting is truly the scariest job in the world....We all just try to stay focues on the big picture and the BIG lessons of life- rather than the small moments of the day.
Sometimes the fast-pace and stress of everyday life cause us to fail...then there are those times when we score a touchdown at the end of a 90 yard punt return....
Amazing how Democrats are so willing to lie. These are NOT crimes and screaming a lie over and over will not make it true. Amazing how politically stupid Democrats are. 2/3rds of the American people agree with Bush and they want to make this the issue for 2006? Utterly politically tone deaf.
One thing for the Democrats. They are optimistic about winning in the face of losing so much so often. I hope they do make this an election year issue in 2008. Their hatred for Bush will help them lose, again.
In the past eleven years Democrats have lost the US House, the US Senate, the presidency and now they are losing their advantage in the courts. All this time, they still think they represent most Americans, and they still think they are winning.
When the other team punts the ball to your team- then you catch the ball and run it all the way down to the other end of the field without being tackled and score a touchdown...
It is a LONG RUN...and hard to do- but VERY EXCITING and glorious to celebrate....
Have you ever noticed how Woodward and Bernstein and in particular Bernstein think that there was never any scandal in History that could top "Watergate"? They constantly embellish on the true story and try to make every other scandal pale in comparison so as to pump up their tired, flat resumes'. They never admit that Nixon was never charged or convicted of anything, and that Hillary Clinton working on the "watergate " committee tried to violate every single legal right that he may have had to defend himself, and she is running for the job she helped take away from Nixon. She thought nothing of defending murderers that were part of "black Power" movement in Connecticut.
I guess being a Democrat still means never having to say you're sorry.
Woodward and Bernstein have milked their 15 minutes of fame for years. The put politics over honest reporting, and that's a shame.
As for Hillary, if I'm not mistaken, she was the one who wrote the brief or opinion that said Nixon could not be represented by an attorney. Sadly, the politics of personal destruction seems to be the only arrow in the left's quiver. They certainly cannot run on what they believe in or want to do.
Actually my point was that they are so mentally damaged themselves that they are probably helpless to help him. You took the thought in another direction and ran with it, and made a touchdown....... Bravo... How appropriate that everyone is now tuning in to the Denver/Pittsburgh game. I really do not like either team, but to make my Father(in that huge football field in Heaven) happy I will root for Pittsburgh. John Lynch is a good guy though he is not the whole team.
Good points. I sure do hope they lose in 2006, too. It's painfully obvious to most (except perhaps them) that the Bush-bashing, constantly pointing fingers at Pubbies, and their recent 'culture of corruption' mantra is not going to get them ahead w the American people and in the polls. I think most of the people, except the left-wing wackos, see many of the Dims for what they are: screeching, negative, finger-pointing, no-idea, hypocrites, who often border on sedition. The Pubbies need to unite and give the people good ideas, vision, and optimism. They also need to address illegal immigration and cut the spending. IMHO if they do those things there is no way the Dims can beat them on anything.
Thanks for the info... I am surprized that Ron Insana and Mark Haines were not renewed.. Where did you get the info.. Thanks in advance

And when that game is over, hope you root for the Seahawks ;-)
Agreed. Well gang, I'm off to watch the Broncos on TV. Well, that and probably get a nap in if the game isn't exciting. More later.
It is too bad that they had Children because she could just leave and get on with her life if that is still possible.
Yes that is what I understood from her fellow Lawyers on that Committee that were not as vicious and sick as she is.
