Thanks for adding the comments from Cheney. It is nice to read what an adult can say, while sitting here listening to the trash that comes from a McCain or a Durbin this morning on FNC.
And in other startling news, Joe Biden utters a complete sentence without once using the pronoun "I."
I'm loving the Candian election bit on CSPAN now... mostly because the conservatives are winning up there. LOL.. can't wait to hear the callers.
I didn't see Gonzales's presser, but I do recall Dashle himself bragging about turning the President down on this request.
LOL!
He actually argued that it was ridiculous to sue the sewwt cereal companies for using characters like TOny the Tiger to target kids! LOL! He actually claimed that these corps have a right in a capitalistic society to make money.
He argued that PARENTS have a responsibility, and then he actually challenged them to explain where these adds were "deceptive"
WOW!
Thanks. I had my '60s comedy shows confused.
I would have to see that for myself to believe THAT~!
LOL!
Brit smackdown to Juan after his comments regarding the NSA: "That is absurd on its face"! I just LOVE Brit.
I would just love to get the VP's opinion of Kerry, Leahy and a few other Dems... OFF-THE-RECORD.
My John McCain (up close and personal) story, from the 2000 South Carolina Primary.
Greenville SC - the 2000 Presidential primary - John McCain had just beaten W in the NH primary and the Straight Talk Express rolled into South Carolina.
I was a McCain supporter - positive that he was the real deal.
I drove to a McCain speech and public appearance. It was a day I will never forget as long as I live.
That day I witnessed John McCain behave unlike any appearance I had ever seen on TV - the man was unhinged.
After a 15 minute canned speech - he decided to address his competition in the primary - George W. Bush. He did so by beginning with, I am Luke Skywalker, and my opponents are members of the Empire. Together we will form the rebellion and defeat Darth Vadar. He yelled this - first pumping - his voice full of anger - his face - beet red - and his eyes - well - they were scary.
The crowd instantly went from supportive - to bewildered.
He obviously didnt pick up on the mood change - because he went on for another 5 minutes - ranting and raving about how everyone was lying about his record - his views - and he, wasnt going to take it any more (remember the movie Network).
It was surreal.
When he finished - and with the prodding of an aid - he left the stage, while we in the crowd just stood there - stunned - and honestly - completely confused.
I asked a woman next to me: what the hell just happened? She answered: that man is freaking nuts!
I came home - walked in the house - sat on the couch and just looked at the wall. I suddenly realized - the man pushed on television - was not the man at all.
I have told this story many times - to many people - and I have heard the same story told back to me by others who have seen similar John McCain episodes.
I am not given to criticize anyone lightly ladies and gentlemen.
I am sure John McCain is a good man - but listen to me - and please believe me.
JOHN MCCAIN is NOT FIT TO LEAD THIS NATION.
John McCain is unstable. John McCain is freaking nuts!
LOL! Did we get to see Juan' face pouting afterward?
Why is Kristol sittin on a wound down piano stool, or why is Mara sitting on a booster chair?
I was actually typing as soon as Brit said it, and didn't see if FNC video guy shows Juan's facial expression. Too bad, I bet it was great!!!
All the problems we face in the United States today can be traced to an unenlightened immigration policy on the part of the American Indian.RIP, Pat Paulsen, RIP. You gave a good many people a good hearty laugh - and there was that measure if truth in your with.Assuming either the Left Wing or the Right Wing gained control of the country, it would probably fly around in circles.
I've upped my standards. Now, up yours.
If elected, I will win.
In America, any boy can grow up to become president. Or, if he never grows up, vice president.
United We Sit.
We Can Be Decisive, Probably.
Solutions are not the answer.
First there are only two ways to go. One way is neither right nor wrong and the other way isn't.
In those deep valleys of decision where the giants of government ponder the complex problem of the War on Poverty, is the answer from the valley of the giants, ho ... ho ... ho?This is the richest nation in the world, and we'd be richer if it weren't for the poor people. There are people without clothes and shoes and socks and ties and handkerchiefs and hats and underwear...some of these are nudists...but, most of them are poor people.
Poverty is necessary. Because without it, we couldn't have a poverty program. And the poverty program has the right answer. Good administration. You can't just give poor people money. The poor people will just go out and buy food and clothes and pay rent and junk like that.
Poor people have to have jobs. But, the only jobs open are in the administration offices of the poverty program. Twelve clerks to every poor. Now, the poverty program is running out of money. It only proves that poverty is expensive. Poor people can't afford it!

Many people feel that censorship is a violation of Freedom of Speech...Bull feathers...Censorship is NOT unconstitutional. Censors have the right to censor what you hear. The Bill of Rights says nothing about Freedom of Hearing. This, of course, takes alot of the fun out of the Freedom of Speech.
However, many churches play bingo and raffles...but out of fear many do not. Proper legislation will eliminate the confusion...and every good American will be able to gamble at the church of his choice. Now to give the devil his due...there are large numbers who oppose gambling on moral grounds. Any many of their arguments sound pretty convincing. But on closer inspection we find out that these same people are also opposed to robery, blackmail, and murder...some people will knock anything...I say let there be no understanding of our position.
Thats why the media love him!!
Thanks. Typical liberal. They can't seem to understand how the logic of their arguments work as they keep trying to be on both sides of an issue.
yup , Face the Nation might be good
but all the rest of the yammering , sheeeesh
which is why this thread gets me what I need, without %&^#^
Lurch , Obama Osama , The Turbin ,btw, where's ChiaJoe BinBiden ????
Very much so. Both Kerry and Stevenson were arrogant, aloof, found campaigning to be beneath them, but a necessary evil to get the rubes and bumpkins to vote for them.
At least that's one step up from using the Massachusetts's Drowner as the point man on ethics in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
