That's interesting. I've been trying to find out more about her, and to me, she sounds like the typical "gone native" Western female reporter who started out with a romantic interest in the exotic Middle East and began more and more "seeing things from their perspective."

But I certainly could be wrong; maybe I've simply gotten too cynical after several years of psuedo-kidnappings of "journalists," especially those of the female pursuasion.

Anyone catch CNN's Wolf Blitzer a minute ago. He said something that struck me as odd. He was doing a report on the tape in which he described Carroll as someone who'd "clearly been taken hostage". Okaaaaay.... As opposed to...what exactly, Mr. Blitzer?

I hate to say it, but could it be because she was freelancing for the Christian Science Monitor? I watch the news 3-4 hours daily, and I have not heard utter one about this. *sniffle* I'm sending as much positive protection and prayer her way as I can.
