QUOTE OF THE DAY:
During an interview with the press corps on her plane, the First Lady discussed several topics, including the following:
Laura Bush begins visit to West AfricaACCRA, Ghana (AP) First lady Laura Bush said Sunday that the U.S. government is right to eavesdrop on Americans with suspected ties to terrorists, and that President Bush worries that revelations about the domestic spying program will cripple efforts to foil terrorists.
"I think the American people expect the United States government and the president to do what they can to make sure there's not an attack by foreign terrorists," Mrs. Bush said just before landing here to begin a four-day stay in West Africa.
"I think he was worried that it would undermine our efforts by alerting terrorists to what our efforts are," she said.
;-) It was GREAT tonight!!!
Did anyone hear when Rush said on his radio show, that he got a call from Chloe? VERY cool. She said, "I hear you've got the hots for ...my character." He laughed and was just as excited for the season to begin as we are.
Must see TV!
Hey -- I root for the Panthers, too -- being over here near Wilmington, NC!
I think catching up on the DOSE is the only thing that motivates me to get to work on Mondays.
To any plank owner, this is the BEST moment in any ship's history!
GO Navy.

Hi, Snugs,
I'm glad the card arrived. I've been thinking of you and your dad a lot. I mostly lurk these days.
Thanks for the heads up Deb watched it.
I watched it too .. very suspenseful. That's true about our old high school days. I just had a great reunion with my gal pals when I went home for Christmas. It's like we were never separated ... it's a blessing to me to have that friendship and love with people you rarely see, but with whom you shared so much. I'm the only one who left the area.
Bit late chiming in, kitkat. However do you do acorn squash in the microwave? I'd cook it more often but one almost has to be a safecracker to cut into it! Great baked with sliced apples, bit of maple syrup and cinnamon. All I need is an easy way to do it...
Sorry, it was an E-MAIL, not a phone call. My bad.
