Outside witnesses who did not testify at yes- terday's hearings are given an opportunity to offer their opinions on the nominee. The Cmte. meets again to vote, either to approve or reject, on Tues., Jan. 17

ALL of the "Pro-Alito" witnesses personally know him and have worked closely with him.

The final witness is taking that point, labeling it "collegiality," and dismissing the testimony on that basis alone. His argument is that collegiality is a commodity, and that the evaluation of the the nominee should be based on his record of decisions.

And so, he will go on to distort that record.
