It's a political calculation in the hands of the DEMs, delay that is. Might be a fund raising tactic.

Chuck just said that a jurist who tends to rule "rightward" is unqualified to be a judge.
I don't remember him ever suggesting that Ginsberg was unqualified because she tended to rule "leftward", even though she was replacing a conservative jurist.

They've been running pretty short on ammunition since ol' Jesse Helms retired, haven't they?
To: retrokitten
Gee has anyone asked Shmucker how "troubled" he is about the current head of the executive branch who was elected by a majority of americans? If he can't get over that then who cares what else bothers him?

Roland Friesler would be proud of Chuckie. Now Sessions can supply some common sense. The point about the ABA rating of Alito was the perfect comeback to Schumer's obvious playing to his special interest masters.

I'm guessing the NJ senators will vote for Alito I have no idea what "Cadaver" Lousenberg will do, but Menendez will certainly follow orders. (I think Menendez has been sworn in, someone please correct me if that's wrong?)

Schumer is ALWAYS "troubled." (His favorite word.)
No way in hell, he's going to vote FOR Alito. Chuckie
just wastes time in hearings.
To: retrokitten
Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble right here in River City. A National Home for Troubled Senators seems correct.

Rush is equating the LIBS to the apes beating against the obelisk (growing conservative streak in America) in 2001. I think he's right. Kennedy and Schumer are practically jumping on their desks.
To: CharlesWayneCT
OK...I'm not the only one that heard him say "retarded"....my brother has Down's Syndrome, and while I realize he is slow, I never think of him as "retarded", but as just a cool little kid, a person. This senator has no respect.

He just gave Alito a great opportunity to clarify is lack of specifics in answering Schumer.
Good going......

he said racist?
No, but he might as well have he skirted the issues to imply as much. Schummer is hateful and does not want W to have another win in SC. Alito is a man of high regard and the dims would never know that type of leadership if it hit them over the head.
