Day 3: Questioning Continues
This morning, Round 1 concludes with Senators on the Judiciary Cmte. who did not question nominee Alito yesterday. During Round 2, questioning is limited to 20 minutes for each of the eight- een senators. Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA) leads off, followed by the others, alternating by party in order of seniority.

Does Drunk Uncle Ted look and sound like Phil Donawho or vice versa?? Course Phil never killed his Father.
Pray for W and Our Victorious Troops
I think it was an emotional response to the sympathy and caring of Graham after the brutal, lying abuse of the RATS who were demeaning her good husband and wounding her by doing so.
She needs our prayers............and yes......flowers would be lovely.
I certainly will. Another FReeper has been saying the St. Michael Prayer every time one of those awful Dems rears his ugly head. It is most appropriate:
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God
Thrust into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits
Who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Amen! VERY appropriate. Thanks!
Did Nightline say that the Dems were wrong or made a mistake? I saw it live today, and it made me tear up, and I realized how many years we and our reps have been slandered and smeared by these Dems.
Just watched Biden....totally useless questions.
Bless you, Palladin for offering your prayer--a great way to end the day. Bless all the Alito family who have been dragged thru this disgraceful charade. May we soon see Judge Alito being sworn in as the next Supreme Court Justice by our noble President and surrounded by his smiling family.
I'm not checking to see if there are any more posts--I give up for today! Goodnight all!
Good night, and God bless you, the Alito family, and all our FReepers.
Where did you see Biden??
NO...of course they didn't say the dems were wrong, it was a VERY short segment...just like a news short.
I wonder if it would have been longer if it had gone better for the dems...
I thought maybe a few night owls would be interested in this.
What Would You Ask Samuel Alito?
President Bush's nominee already knows the answers to questions the White House coaches and handlers anticipated, but he hasn't heard from you -- yet.
As he makes his case to serve on the nation's Supreme Court, what is the most important question you think Samuel Alito should answer?

Totally agree!
Here is the opening of the NYTimes online article regarding the incident:
Eight hours and several intense grillings after the start of Wednesday's hearings, Judge Alito's wife Martha-Ann broke into tears and left the room. Along with a small picture of her crying.
No Surprise...
Excellent insight!
C-SPAN is re-airing the whole thing today.
Thanks.
I think I am going to call my florist in the morning...and see if I can get flowers sent to that building tomorrow..
If I can...I will give them in the name of Free Republic.
Or in some cases battle gear :)
I'd be glad to pitch in if you are so inclined.
"As he makes his case to serve on the nation's Supreme Court, what is the most important question you think Samuel Alito should answer?"
That's rich. Teddy and the Dims must be totally lost on what other questions to ask (which is rather obvious since they either don't ask any and keep bloviating and/or keep asking the same questions on the same subjects - all of which are included in the questionnaire) if they're asking for help on the outside. Quess the Daily Kos, moveon, NARAL, et al are fresh out of questions for them.
Teddy "the Swimmer" should ask Judge Alito if he thinks that there is a statute of limitations on a murder. And, if he doesn't, since Alito said no man is above the law, should he (Teddy) be worried.
Thank you, that is very generous...
I will get on the thread in the morning and let you know.
Thank you, very much.
