Day 3: Questioning Continues
This morning, Round 1 concludes with Senators on the Judiciary Cmte. who did not question nominee Alito yesterday. During Round 2, questioning is limited to 20 minutes for each of the eight- een senators. Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA) leads off, followed by the others, alternating by party in order of seniority.

What kind of bomb? Stink bomb?
It is pretty sweet that Kennedy pissed off Specter since he now seems overly angry at the Dems today.
In fact, over lunch, he sent staffers to the Library of Congress to get the papers Kennedy was whining about. Rusher gladly gave them.
The NY Times already looked at them and found nothing as it is, not even a mention of Alito.
The Dems will come up empty on this.
They will probably have a half-day of questions tomorrow (instead of getting wrapped up today like was the initial plan) to at least somewhat placate the Dems and then will move on to the witnesses tomorrow afternoon.
Let's hope and pray those testifying against him have nothing.
I can't imagine they have anything that will stick, but who knows.
Good for Brit...thanks, Ali.
Graham participated, they are going to say it was improper and a conflict (Nothing like Gorelick sitting on the 9-11 hearings). If Goober set this up with them it would explain his miraculous performance yesterday.
I thought it was NAG.......National Assoc of Girls. LOL
He said something about having the list available for follow-up tomorrow. I don't see what good a list of names will do, there also has to be some evidence of the substance of discussions/coaching, and that won't be forthcoming.
If that's true, little does she know that one has a lot more fun having a beer with us hayseed Republicans.
When she was on last night, what she said was that she thought the Democrats turned in a poor performance -- their lack of followup questions didn't reflect well on their ability to deliver on their promise to do tough questioning.
I didn't at all interpret what she said as being sympathetic to the anti-Alito crowd, but rather as subtly dissing the Dem Senators for being incompetent.
My wife hated her, though. She'll think of a reason later...
Brit is just about the ONLY saving grace for FOX.
These guys don't get Alito- they are incapable of grasping what it means to be principle-driven.
A money tree!
Feingold, once again impugning Alito's integrity. He is such a creep.
I don't think that is so, I think they report news.
Feeling the heat...
Don't let this sour Neil on you. He's a great host and a great person.
He can honestly say that they love having jj around because it has to be a challenge to get a lib on. Fox and Friends was reporting that no Dems on the committee would come on Fox. None
There's nothing wrong with Ted that a head transplant wouldn't help measurably.
"Pres of NOW"
There is a National Organization of Wackos?

I'm sure the same thing has happened on the Democrat side. This will go nowhere. It doesn't mean anything and the dims know it.
