Hubby pointed out that whenever DiFi talks about cases she likes that have been overturned - she calls them "overthrown"... as if this is a coup.

I'd rather hear senator *HIC* Kennedy define that one. I'd buy tickets to see it.

Oh, sounds like a plan. Let gays marry each other, abort on demand and in 30 year their will be no Democrats.

Her husband doesn't even use his own name? There isn't enough time in the world to learn about their very odd family lives.
Feinstein: Will we have another round Mr. Chairman?
Specter: We'll talk about it.

I wish Alito would have said, "One deals with voting rights and the other deals with the killing a baby -- that is the difference you blood thirsty wench!" I was thinking along the same lines. Even O'Connor didn't uphold Roe, when O'Connor composed Planned Parenthood, point being that "upholding" can be a more complex discussion when applied to some issues (it is with abortion), and a simple discussion and application for others, like "one man one vote," and "separate but equal."
No matter - the pattern of how and what to answer is pretty well developed over the course of the last half a dozen nominations.
DiFi asked if there would be another round. Specter indicates that he hopes not, but the matter is still undecided.

That was a surprising little tidbit, wasn't it?
I'm feeling very good about Roberts, and Alito.
Now...rubbing hands together...who do we get next? :)

Kennedy was NOT going to let Specter, the GOP, or Alito, WIN on this issue...
Which is symptomatic of all the dems, in all of their thinking...
It would be better to have our country attacked again, than admit they are wrong, or Bush is right.
