If the left always claims that the Constitution is "a living document," why are they so worried that a judge may vote to overturn a previous ruling? Excellent question.

If he gives them what they want (stopping this nomination or at least bloodying it up) , they won't care about anything else.

Using the Dems' rational for going after these CAP records, during the RBG hearings, the GOP could have subpoenaed the ACLU membership list and all their records? Yup..that would have played well

BTW- Has anyone else noticed Alito is ALSO not using any notes? I was stunned when Roberts didn't use them- but this is a double whammy- great intellects and grounding in these two men.

LMAO!
Geez, if he looks like that after going to this alleged "gym" imagine what he would look like if he didn't!
To: Bahbah
Is Specter going to give the Committee more time because of these "important" records. Looks like NOT. That will give the Dems a reason to vote against a man who is obviously qualified for the SC.
To: milagro
These bozos simply don't know what to do with someone who decides cases based on what the law says, and who knows the precedents like the back of his hand -- giving them due consideration.
In short, he is what a judge should be. Their nominees are ideologues who don't pay attention to the law itself, so they make the assumption that ours are just a conservative ideologue mirror image.
They just don't know how to deal with it.

"Specter should have been more wise in his answer to the DRUNK! Specter comes out of this with a small portion of egg on his face!"
I totally agree. Specter should have acknowledged that a letter might have been received but he didn't recall seeing it.
