This morning, Round 1 concludes with Senators on the Judiciary Cmte. who did not question nominee Alito yesterday. During Round 2, questioning is limited to 20 minutes for each of the eight- een senators. Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA) leads off, followed by the others, alternating by party in order of seniority.

Looks like to me the Dimocrats have one agenda and it runs concurrent to their overall perverted views of life in America.

Funny enough I caught some call-in time from CSPAN this morning, and more than one democrat called in to say the same.

Think about how much though we have advanced the pro-life cause.

None of the Senators are arguing with Alito that abortion is the correct decision of the court. They are reduced to arguing that the current justices shouldn't change it because it's been around so long it has it's own life.

In other words, Stare Decisis is an argument which acknowledges the weakness of the original ruling.

The date of and confirmation vote are easy to cross check. The online Congressional Record stops at 1995, but a "uninimous consent" vote is common for advice & consent. There were a handful of them last session, for Circuit Court nominees.
