Twice in the "rule" it mentioned "compensation"...I doubt that Graham was PAID to coach Alito.

How about Specter responding,
"Senator Kennedy, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

...Tim Russert is somehow involved. Well, Senator Lush was probably thinking about his next litre of Potato Vodka and summoned Tim Russert to the hearings.

Specter to Ted: I'm not concerned about your threats to the committee ............ you are not going to run the committeeI think Kennedy thought he could get away with it. He overplayed his hand.
All this in stark contrast to the lame attempt to give Kennedy an extra two minutes yesterday because he couldn't focus on the clock right in front of him.

Spector looked like he wanted to smack Kennedy with the gavel when he banged it down hard. I wish he had.

Kennedy likes judges that are in the mainstream.
The mainstream is where he usually parks his car.

Now I get it. If Russert already has the letter, then FNC got it too.

Look for more outrageous and out of order requests by the dems. What Grassley referred to when he said they would be throwing Hail Marys. This leads me to believe that they are more than ready for it. Hope I'm right.

It's times like these when I almost understand why the president supported Specter's re-election. I think people are reading too much into Specters smackdown of Kennedy. I didn't see it, but from what I read on this thread, Specter was probably reacting to Kennedy's cheap trick to delay the Hearing.
Kennedy was stepping into Specter's turf and Specter was having none of it. I think Specter was just protecting his turf and had to let Kennedy have it big time just as a warning to others not to mess with him.

The only thing i can figure is that Teddy the Hutt is trying to lay the foundation for a filibuster, based on this "subpoena" he's demanding.
However, it looks like the info he wants is related to the activies of CAP, and has absolutely nothing to do with Judge Alito; therefore it's just another red herring, and it ain't gonna fly.
I was good to see Arlen rear up and bark a little...
