The obvious color choice is a cool Nile green, but if I might suggest something a little off the beaten path I would say a rich dark brown that picks up whatever shade of red you have?
My daughter's an Irish redhead (creamy skin, hair auburn to light brown), and her freshman cotillion dress was a dark reddish brown tulle embroidered with reflective beads, over a brighter red (almost burgundy but browner) underskirt of satin. It looks so good she's wearing it again for her senior cotillion.
I guess I should have been more clear. I meant, I can't wait to hear what was said from you guys. I do have a job, but don't have cable at home or work, so I can't watch these hearings. So, how did the Rybar discussion go?
Glad they are both on our team.
I am with you!

I think Dick Durbin has that same exact dress.
It's great that he's a different personality type than Roberts as Roberts is exercising his authority (as well he should). it would be a scary bench if they were all alike. Much as we joke about a bench full of Scalias and Thomases.
Hey, dammit, now we're going to have to throw the dress out!
LOL!
"superduper" came up 4 times in Roberts' hearings, but one of those was Cornyn and two were Hatch, leaving Specter as the originator.
"super stare decisis" came up 4 times by Specter and 4 times by Brownback
"super precedent" once by Cornyn
grep is my friend ;-)
No you won't. Durbin wears fuchsia. ;-)
Linseed Graham is doing another good job right now speaking to Sean Hannity. I recall his analysis during the Roberts hearing was good as well. Just keep him away from McPain!
Sorry about that. Was in a "Brokeback Mountain" conversation in the office and we were giving alternate names.
Absolutely!
I do worry about the filibuster vote -- it's just impossible to trust the RINOs
I agree completely!
Must be lack of color correction under those bright TV lights he craves so much . . .
"What we heard to day were long statements of charges ... the American people shoudl understand that what is said by the Senators is not evidence. The evidence comes from Judge Alito." (my prapahrase).
Reporter asks if Senators can't come to a conclusion by reading Alito's opinins. Specter charges slective reading, sicne Alito has so many opinions. Specter reiterates that charges without an answer back are not fair. Give the nominee a chance to speak his piece - you"reporter" are reading the charges of Senators as though they were criminal indictments (meaning there is evidence on the other side too, and Alito needs opportunity to speak).
Specter's comments here will make the news.
Correction above - not Hatch live - it is SPECTER. Sorry about that. Not proofreading at all, just typing and sending.
"That's probably true. Do you recall the uproar about a document that a Republican staffer obtained electronically? While Democrats naturally blustered about spying, the contents of the document detailed which organizations required which votes for which nominees."
Don't remember that exactly, however, all that stuff I've read and heard just portrays their silliness. Seems they never learned their lesson from the Civil War, even though the Northern states won. But then, the Civil War was ridiculous in itself. How smart does it make our nation look to be taking it's own states to war? But, as I said on another thread, they're not out to win. It's just conflict for the sake of conflict. That's the order of the day.
:-) And it's politically correct.
Yes to both. Now the Senators will be out running offense and defense.
